This is the story of Negau, and the story of Kimi, But mostly of what happened up to the point of when Negau and Kimi separated from the demon court to hide on earth. Enjoy

---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Seven and a half centuries. That's how long he lived under his torture. A mere stepping stone in the road of his life. Being seven and a half centuries to a Y'Runfrish was like being 19 to a human. Insignificant, but a few years into adulthood.

In his seven and a half centuries, Prince Negau Hell'Ruc Tal'Narchi Oni had gone through more than any other demon in his kingdom would have ever assumed. He watched murder after murder, the blood of his loved ones flowing thick and freely at his feet. All of them slain by the same person: King Talmara Ruc'tal Narlim Oni. Negau's father.

It all started with the illegitimate birth. King Mavla, Father of Tala and husband of Queen Jedla, was unfaithful as a mate. Y'Runfrish mate for life, usually only once unless their mate dies prematurely. Mavla, however, was unfaithful before Jedla's untimely death in the birthing chamber. He bedded a lesser Y'Runfrish, one of the Beta class (The Royals being of the Alpha* class), and from them spawned Damon and then Talmara, both male heirs.

Damon was clearly Beta. He was born with the stone colored skin and silver blood found in the entire class. His hair, however, was a silvery white, more common with the Alphas than with the Betas. Talmara, on the other hand, was born Alpha. He had the green blood and ebony locks, even the pale skin. Tala, his daughter and legitimate heir to the throne was born half a century after the birth of the younger male. She took after her mother with beautiful snow white locks and satin like skin. Her mother, Jedla, died in the strenuous labor, leaving little Tala to be raised by King Mavla and the castle imps.

The Y'Runfrish throne connects with the next heir when they reach the age of adulthood. It always connects with an Alpha breed, almost always a male of the royal family. When Talmara's eyes changed**, King Mavla was almost certain that the young male would be chosen, and that his shame would be exposed. He had inherited the King's amber-yellow eyes while Damon, on the other hand, inherited his mother's piercing silver eyes. The king was surprised when, a year later, the throne chose Tala. Little Tala with rare Aqua eyes. Talmara, though he did not openly show it, was furious.

Some centuries later, when it was time for Tala to be mated, Talmara stepped forward as a potential suitor. Tala had grown into a beautiful Princess, with defined facial features and a thin body. Talmara had grown as well. He had grown to the full height of Alpha demons, Seven and a half feet, and his hair was as handsomely unkempt as ever, accenting his amber yellow eyes. Under law, King Mavla was unable to turn away a potential suitor for the throne, no matter how much he protested. Talmara easily defeated the challenges laid out for the suitors and bested the others. King Mavla perished under questionable circumstances before the final bonding ceremony.

Talmara was never kind to Tala. He bedded her often and roughly, hoping to kill her with childbirth as her mother before her. It wasn't long until Tala was indeed with child. When Talmara did not stop bedding her in her pregnancy, Tala took to hiding from him in the castle. Robbed of his outlet, Talmara created a harem on the side.

Tala had a strenuous labor as her mother did, but after much strain, she birthed a healthy Y'Runfrish male with snow white hair. This was Negau. Tala was robbed of her ability to have anymore children while Talmara was displeased with her survival.

After the hard labor of her son, Tala grew frail. Talmara still tried to bed her, but her magic was
able to deter him, even in her weaker state. Having caught on to what he wished, Tala did not inform him that the throne cut its bond with her the very moment Negau was born.

Again robbed of his outlet, Talmara turned back to his harem and a century later, a beta bore him a daughter. The beta died in childbirth and Queen Tala took it upon herself to raise the young female along side the prince as her own. She named the Y'Runfrish Kimi and no one questioned that it was her child since she had inherited the Alpha traits and could easily pass as Tala's child. After the birth of his illegitimate child, things became even more strained between King and Queen.

Talmara discovered that Tala was no longer connected with the throne when Negau was almost two centuries. He struck out at her in anger and drew blood. For the entire time she had been connected to the throne, her magic healed her before blood could be drawn. Another century of careful plotting and he accused her of treason. Normally under treason, the offender was exiled to the human world. Under Talmara's rule, the exiled were put to death.

Talmara forced Negau, only three centuries old, to watch Tala's death. He put her in a cage with a crazed, starved Grish'Narr*** and watched as the lesser, more vicious demon ripped her apart and fed upon her flesh. Unable to take the harsh truth of what he had gone through, Negau ran away to the human world, to the one Demon he knew he could trust.

Talmara's older brother Damon had worked as the Queen and prince Negau's guard since he reached adulthood. He was a good guard and had found himself a mate that cared for him greatly. Tragedy struck when his mate was caught in the crossfire of a fight and mortally wounded. Hoping to save her, Damon took her to earth and convinced an Angel to help, but the attempt was in vain as she perished. For his crime of going to the Angels, he was exiled to earth when Prince Negau was only two and a half centuries.

Negau went to Damon's earthly home seeking help. Damon was unable to offer any more than advice as Talmara soon followed to bring the prince back to Hel'Ruc. He ment to kill his brother and ripped through his chest with his claws, but Damon was ultimately saved by an exiled Angel in the vicinity, the same Angel exiled for trying to help his mate.

Talmara tried to kill Negau many times before he realized that he was connected with the throne. Tala had never taught him to utilize its magic so all the throne could do was keep Negau alive though he was mortally wounded. In anger, Talmara sought a way to kill the prince and claim the Throne's power to make him immortal.

He found his answer in one of the old texts****. In an old rule, the king that was bonded to the throne attacked another out of spite, anger and greed and was killed. The throne chose his brother to replace the ruler and continue the noble rule. Negau had just reached adulthood at four centuries. His eyes were the color of Alpha blood.

Talmara began to torture Negau. He would beat him, carve him up, chain him up and rake hot pokers across his skin. Nothing seemed to work to make him angry as a normal demon would have attacked him for sure by now. In frustration, Talmara looked for any way to get to the Prince. He found it when he looked at his Daughter.

Kimi could have been Tala's twin. She had the same delicate build, same snow white hair that fell in soft waves past her waist, and the same rare Aqua colored eyes. Negau was very protective of his younger sister and treated her well. Talmara knew what to do.

He began to bind her and make her observe when he tortured Negau. When that wasn't enough, he reversed roles and tortured her as Negau watched, harming himself with his binds as he tried to stop Talmara, to protect Kimi. Talmara was still unable to kill Negau. In the greatest frustration he had had since Tala hadn't died in childbirth, he took Kimi to the bed chamber and violated her, Negau forced to watch.

Negau was unsure how long it went on, how many times he was forced to watch Talmara break the only loved one he had left, before he snapped. He stole Kimi away in the middle of the night and took her to the human realm. They would run, they would hide, anything to keep Kimi safe.

*Y'Runfrish are separated by species. There are five total: Alpha, Beta, Delta, Omega, and Gamma. The traits of each species are different, though they are all interbreed-able and share heights between 5ft and 8ft. Alphas have green, copper based blood. Light colored skin, reminiscent of humans, and short pointed ears, all of which allow them to intermingle with humans. They also have thin whip like tails and bat-like wings that can be hidden with magic. Betas have silver, mercury based blood. Gray skin and long ears that humans define as Elfin. They must disguise themselves before venturing to the human world. Deltas have black, silver based blood. Skin color ranges from dark brown to bright pink with no discernible ears. They have squashed noses and beady eyes, and cannot mingle with humans as they know no magic. Omegas have blue, cobalt based blood. Skin color ranges from dark brown to bright pink with no discernible ears and horns of varying sizes. They have squashed noses and beady eyes, and cannot mingle with humans as they know no illusionary magic. Gammas have yellow, sulfur based blood. Skin color range from dark brown to bright pink with no discernible ears, and covered with thick scales. They have squashed noses and beady eyes, and cannot mingle with humans as they know no magic to hide their appearance.

**Once they mature, a Y'Runfrish's eyes change to a neon color such as Blue, Yellow, Orange, Green, Amber, Purple, or a rare color such as Aqua or White.

***Another Demon of Hel'Ruc

****All of the Demon's history is recorded in the 'old texts'. Though all the texts are not technically old, it is how the demons refer to their history.

I see. That explains a lot. So Talmara is just trying to get Negau out of the way.

Yes, though Kimi and Negau believe that he's trying to turn him into a 'real' demon.
