Magic: Anything and everything to do with stars and the heavens. Celestial energy fused with music in an attempt to bring balance to the many worlds. It's rather mysterious business. She's strongest at night, when the stars and moon are brightest. Somelu can heal many things with the power of the stars by absorbing their celestial energy through her musical instrument, then expelling that energy out into the worlds by playing said instrument. During the daytime, though, her powers are virtually useless. Night is the time in which all living things heal and regenerate, thus her powers aid in such. By using the powers of the heavens, Somelu can not only heal, but influence the energy levels of the beings around her. It is very rare, but when needed she can defend herself and fight, though that is something she would rather not do.
Weapon: A harp sympitar (google images) with many strings, sounding like a harp and guitar entwined when she plays it. It's a deep shade of blue and looks as if it's made from solid marble, with two curved necks and two sets of strings, about 3 and 1/2 feet in length. This is what Somelu uses to channel energy and play it out as music.
Appearance: Somelu resembles a 13 year old girl with long, wavy white hair and pale skin. Wearing a plain gray dress with no shoes, but with markings on the bottoms of her feet and her palms resembling a star on each. Her eyes are large and innocent, silver in color. She is tiny and will never been seen touching the ground; she constantly floats and her hair flows about her as if she is swimming. Her instrument can disappear into a pocket in space and resummoned in a moment, but when summoned the instrument floats about her as well, until she needs to play it. (Can also play it without touching it)
Background: This being was made out of nothing and energy from the heavens thousands of years ago. Birthed into the universe by the stars and the force of existence, she was sent out to heal the damage done to the planets and people over thousands of years of pain; emotional, physical, and environmentally. The forces of nature had enough, and produced Somelu as their tangible healer and vessel. The powers that be command and direct her, and those who come into contact with her can always sense that she is of a holy force. She is something to be revered, protected, and cherished, but she does not go about flaunting her gifts or letting others know of her purpose. When the forces of life feel that she has fulfilled her purpose, she will disappear, then come back whenever they see fit.
Personality: Somelu does not and cannot speak. She can read, write, and understand every language there is, but she will often write no more than her name. Because of this, she is silent and takes in and listens to everyone and everything around her intently. She is very curious and playful, but knows every secret there is to know, so she will sometimes appear solemn and contemplative.
Other Facts: Highly enjoys vanilla pudding.

In a vast field of thin grass with nothing to obstruct the night sky for miles, it was impossible to see anyone at the fields' center. The night was beautiful and windy, making slight disturbances to the grassy fields. Maybe there was some sort-of shape in the grass, waiting for something. Maybe tonight was an ideal night for certain work the sort-of shape was born to do. And, maybe, the very blades of grass and the pebbles in the field began to vibrate and hum with the tiniest anticipation.

The sort-of shape stuck out its hand, producing an unusual blue instrument from a pocket of infinite space in front of it. The humming became more urgent, more wanting. This land knew what was about to happen, this land knew what it had needed for years, and this being was about to deliver them.

Voltaire still couldn't relax, even while resting on Ava's back as they soared over the land. Adair was asleep, but fitfully so. It seemed that they had lost the Gales for now, but once again the so-called Heroes had proved why they were the elite in the land. Ava's healing magic had sealed the wounds on his shoulder and back, but they still throbbed.

Or maybe it was his pride that was sore. He hadn't lost his heart and gained this power just to have the Gales beat the crap out of him again. Would it ever change?

"It's pretty out, isn't it?" asked Ava cheerfully, probably sensing his broodiness. She had his heart, after all. "All the nice grass everywhere and all the stars. No meanies or anything."

Voltaire glanced down on the field. Peaceful fields like this were rare. Usually there would be demons stalking about such grasses, or people building ugly things on top of the beauty. It was pretty. It was also suspicious.

He heard a yawn beside him and noticed Adair stirring, the redhead rubbing his eyes sleepily. He also looked down into the calm grasses below, blinking.

"Look who's up," said Voltaire with a smirk. "Thought you were going to hibernate as usual."

"...'Taire, what's that?" asked Adair, pointing down to the field.

"What's what?" asked Ava, before suddenly slowing her flight and nearly throwing Voltaire off. "Ooh, what's that?"

After a few grumbles about Ava's sudden stop, Voltaire examined the land below again. There was something odd in the grass, something white and glowing and holding something blue.

...Voltaire knew peaceful grasses were not to be trusted.

There are no hesitation from the land or from Somelu's magic, the process had already begun and she wasn't threatened by these people, only curious. But she couldn't stop now, and once it was over, she could approach them. These people would see, though. Which was acceptable, but there would probably be much wanted explaining on their behalf that she could not give. This was the being's first time around humans, so it would be an interesting experience. Somelu's body began to glow the slightest white.

Then there was a noise. A deeper, lower rumbling that came from the sky, like a massive drum struck in its center. The vibration lasted in sound and in the very feeling of the air, and a bright, white-warm light was expanding far above in the heavens. The odd instrument at Somelu's side began to play a slow, intensely beautiful melody seemingly without any aid from the small one. The tune suddenly changed and became bigger than the instrument itself and sped up. The light in the heavens exploded outward then stabbed downward, seeming to travel from the reaches of the universe to the grass field in seconds, trailing sparkling and fading bits of light behind it. The tip of the speeding light vortex concentrated and formed into a boulder-sized round shape, leading the way down to the earth and straight to the small messenger herself.

The light changed from white to blue to purple to teal continuously in a rapid flow of color, the music adjusting to every slight movement the light made. Or was it the other way around? Light and music appeared to be one. The tip, the gargantuan flaming light boulder, gained yet more speed before lighting up miles of the earth with its closeness. The blue instrument stopped, vortex and boulder halted, as Somelu held up her hands to the star now feet away from her.

Creature and man alike would never again see such vision, such a light. Every leaf, every pebble was glowing with the reflection of the warm white fire from the star, glittering with shades of teal and purple. The light was cool but to the touch scorching. She had summoned a star from the heavens to heal this scarred land as she had done for eons past and eons come. The girl smiled softly, flying up to the stars' top, emerging herself within the stars' sparkling vortex. She sunk lower now, actually touching the flame of the star and the material it consisted of. To her, it was not hot. It would have killed a normal creature. The harp-guitar at Somelu's side hovered in front of her and a tune came forth from it that was so gentle, so serene. A Star's Lullaby.

The star sank into the field, disappearing, engulfing land in multicolored fire instantly. The music stop and all was silent. Everything around Somelu, and the newcomers, was charred to inexistence. No smoke, just ash. But just as quickly there was another rumbling, and the still lit star came back from the earth, spreading another wave of flames upon the field to last for a moment this time. The star shot back into the sky, trailing sparkles, and vanished into the heavens from whence it came.

White flames continued to eat what was left of the field, but in reverse. The fire started at the top of each plant and traveled down, and every spot the fire touched, new color was restored. New life. The fire burned with wonder for a moment more over the field and, before it was comprehensible, the flames were gone and the field had been restored. Flowers bloomed, leaves shined, grass was lush. Even in the dark, the beauty was still prominent and extraordinary.

Voltaire was for once speechless, as he and his other companions tried to comprehend what they just saw. They weren't used to seeing a world destroyed and then reborn in a matter of seconds.

"Hey, your wound's gone," Adair noted at last, pointing to Voltaire's shoulder. The flaxen-haired young man turned to see, and saw that there was no trace of the injury. It wasn't throbbing anymore either.

"Yeah, I don't feel tired anymore, even though I've been fighting and flying all day," Ava added.

So that light resets everything? Voltaire wondered. Wait, could that mean-

"Ava, how's Adair's heart?" he asked the phoenix. Adair next to him suddenly snapped to attention, looking almost hopeful.

"Fiery's heart? Oh it's-" Ava began, before her crest drooped slightly. "...still broken."

Voltaire sighed, along with Adair. Voltaire should have known it would not be that easy. Still, if this...being, demon, whatever had the power to heal things, maybe it could fix Adair as well?

"Ava, go down," the Hunter spoke. "I want a better look at this light."

The golden phoenix obeyed, soon descending.

Now that the work was done, Somelu sighed and turned her large eyes towards the newcomers descending from the sky. Her instrument still hovered at her side as she flew closer to the ground, touching blades of now healthy grass with the tips of her toes.

She stared at the bird and the boys, having never seen something like this fiery bird before. The instrument plucked into life for a brief second, playing a happy tune for these people.

Ava stopped in front of the floating child, the two humans on her back craning their necks to get a better look at the girl.

"She doesn't seem like a demon," commented Adair.

"Ava doesn't seem like a demon either, but she is," countered Voltaire.

"Hello! I'm Ava!" chirped the golden phoenix. "Um, I'm not sure what you just did, but it was amazing! Nice to meet you!"

(sorry, my internet has been going in and out at random times the passed couple days)

The instrument picked up once again, with another gleeful tune. The small girl waved and smiled at them, flying close enough to Ava to touch her. Her instrument flew around the visitors in a complete circle as if examining them itself.

Somelu, so curious about Ava, lost her focus and began to tilt slightly in the air to one side, flapping her arms much like the phoenix.

(OOC: Tis kay. My internet is unreliable at times too.)

Voltaire had to remind himself not to torch the instrument circling them endlessly. While the girl trying to mimic Ava seemed innocent enough, she was also powerful. He didn't want to make her mad. Adair kept his gaze on the roving harp, making himself slightly dizzy in doing so. Ava just seemed to be delighted in the girl's mirroring of her.

"Uh, hey, can you understand us?" asked Voltaire somewhat loudly, deciding to implement gestures in case she didn't. "This guy here - " - he pointed to Adair - " -his heart's broke." -He pointed to where his own heart was, or where it was supposed to be.- "Can you heal him?" He couldn't think of a good gesture for healing, which irritated him more for his lack of invention than lack of communication.

(Do you want the healing to work? I was assuming no, but I was just asking)

The silvery girl nodded and smiled; she understood them perfectly. Her instrument hovered next to her shoulder as she made her way toward Adair, extending a small hand and touching his chest gently. Her brow suddenly furrowed in confusion for she could not feel the slightest presence of the thing that should have been keeping this boy alive. She raised her gaze from Adair's chest to his eyes, looking deeply into him, trying to understand what had happened. She was sad for this occurrence.

Somelu touched his cheek tenderly, leaving a glittering residue for a moment, then drew a circle over the area where his heart should have been with the same gray glittering light. She backed away a bit and looked to Voltaire and Ava, wanting an explanation. This being was lacking an essential energy for his being, and it did not sit well with her.

(No, the healing wouldn't work)

"Oh right, Ava's keeping it right now," Adair added sheepishly, pointing to the golden phoenix. "It's...a long story..."

Voltaire felt a little foolish forgetting to mention that part.

"Yeah, same case here. My heart's okay though."

She looked to the phoenix, feeling the presence of both the boys' hearts, one broken. This was something she had never encountered before; something broke that she could not fix. Something wounded she could not heal.

Still with a perplexed expression on her face, the instrument played a sad tune for her response. Somelu could not help.

"I take that's a no," Voltaire said, as the sorrowful melody sank in. That's what he got for getting his hopes up.

"Of course it wouldn't be that easy. Oh well," Adair replied, with a smile that didn't reach his eyes. He slid down into Ava's feathers, wearing the same grin but with distancing eyes. Black-and-white embers trailed from his mouth.

"Don't you dare go into Chiaroscuro over this," Voltaire warned, even though he didn't entirely blame Adair for the sudden depression.

"Yeah, there's a way to fix you! I know it!" Ava chirped a little too hastily, feeling the sudden unstableness of Adair's heart. "Maybe our Harpie here knows someone who can fix you!"

"...Harpie?" questioned Voltaire.

"She plays a harp, right? So she's Harpie!"

Voltaire groaned, knowing that there were also nasty bird-like creatures called Harpies, but he didn't feel like arguing.

Elsewhere, in the edge of the field, three men encased in blue armor quietly approached.

Somelu watched each face carefully as the next person spoke, observing and reacting with giant silver eyes. She did know someone, rather, something that might help the broken boy. She liked these people and, as she did with most people and living peoples, she wanted to help them. It was part of her duty in restoring the universe to help others as she could along the way. And they seem to like her.

A small sound could be heard in the distance of armor-clad feet crunching gentle earth. At least, Somelu heard it. Her instrument made a small, ominous tune, as she looked toward the direction she heard the footsteps from.

The other three also turned around. Ava gave a threatening trill and a hiss. "Gales!"

"Shit, we gotta move," Voltaire muttered, before turning to Somelu. "Doubt they'd be nice to you either. Coming with us?"

A deep decision was made within Somelu's heart in a mere second before she nodded in agreement at Voltaire. She touched her stringed instrument briefly and it disappeared into a pocket of space.

Her silver eyes looked at them all, waiting and ready, as she tilted her head to one side in curiosity over their next destination.

"Dunno know how fast you can fly, but it'll probably be faster if you rode on Ava with us," Voltaire suggested.

Her small head shook side to side and she hovered around a bit. She was ready to go.

(It's so.. interesting playing a character that doesn't speak. xD So now where to?!)

"Alright, but don't blame us if you fall behind," said Voltaire as Ava shot ahead.

Ava flew fast for many hours, eventually settling in a within a cave among the cliffs. Caves were usually their ideal staying places because of Ava's size, and because many tournaments were within caves anyway.

"Too close," muttered Voltaire.

"Agreed," said Adair. Both were still a little nervous.

It was a bit of a longer flight than Somelu expected, and she was getting sleepy. She hovered down to the cave floor and sighed, sitting closer towards Voltaire than the others. She drew her legs to her chest and yawned, resting her head on her knees.

She snuck tiny looks at Voltaire whenever she thought he wasn't watching out of the corner of her eye.
