Saving Soul

"I don't know how to use it." Anja replied simply.

"It's not that hard," Voltaire replied. "You just take a deep breath like this and-"

He torched Anja with a flamethrower blast, knowing it wouldn't hurt her.

Anja looked at him pointedly. "Okay, so all I do is take a deep breath and do this?" She asked, quickly pulling her foot back and kicking him in the crotch, hard. "Thanks. Lots of help." She turned on her heel and left him to his pain.

"F-Fuck you," Voltaire hissed, as he stumbled behind Ava. "I'm staying over here." Ava fussed over him in concern, which only made the Hunter more irritable.

Adair decided not to comment on the matter.

Anja rolled her eyes at him over her shoulder. "Sorry. Hero beat you to it." She stated before walking off.

She found her way to the cave entrance and sat outside, closing her eyes and enjoying the soft sunlight.

"Like that's any big secret," Voltaire mumbled. "Curtis and Barrett figured out that much on their own."

"What?" exclaimed Adair, as his face began to match his hair. "H-How would they-"

"You would hold her and cuddle her and give her little kisses, until you both fell asleep," Voltaire answered. "And this coming from a normally very chaste person. It's not that hard to figure out."

Adair's blush continued to deepen. When Voltaire put it that way...

Anja could fall asleep if she were tired. It felt so nice out after being in the caves for so long.

"Whatever. Just go hang out with her," said Voltaire, pushing Adair over in Anja's direction. "You don't have to worry about having what happened to me happen to you. That would cause complications if you wanna make out later."

"...'Taire, Will you please shut up?" Adair growled, though he was starting to go over to Anja on his own.

(Voltaire isn't going to mess with her for a while is he?)

Anja severely wished that the Gales hadn't taken all of her supplies. It made her life miserable because all of her clothes and personal items were in it.

Adair sat down next to Anja. He suspected she wasn't ready to leave just yet, and Voltaire still needed some time to...recover before he would be comfortable sitting next to Anja on a long flight. Speaking of Voltaire's backfired prank, it had burned away the blood and actually made her hair glossier. He just stared at her for a while.

"Its rude to stare" Anja stated after a while. "You should know that Hero"

Adair jumped and looked away in embarrassment, not realizing that he had been looking that long. "...Sorry."

"What do you need?" Anja asked with a sigh.

"I need to be away from Taire," Adair answered simply.

"I heard that," said the Hunter.

"Then by all means, kick him a good one in the sack." Anja replied.

"It wouldn't do much good when we're already in flight," Adair answered. "And no, pushing 'Taire off is not an option."

"No offense but you need him. I wouldn't suggest killing him off." Anja replied, looking at him lazily.

"I know," Adair replied. "I owe him too much anyway."

Anja rolled her eyes again. She closed her eyes and leaned back again.

Adair also leaned back, looking upward.

"It's been awhile since I've been able to just look at the sky like this."

"Hm. I miss brushing my hair and changing clothes." Anja stated grimly.

"Don't you - Oh, right," Adair answered, remembering that she had been taken prisoner and probably had lost all her possessions. "Well, I've got a brush and a comb if you want one. I don't know if any of my stuff will fit you though."

"Thanks. I guess." Anja sighed.

(how tall is Anja? Adair is about 6'1" I think)

"...I'm not sure where we can go for clothes," Adair admitted. "Probably will have to travel for a while before it's safe."
