Our Blood Runs The Same

Dave was sitting at his computer with his sunglasses off. He'd tossed them aside when he had to take them off to rub the bridge of his nose, trying to relieve his building headache. Normally he could deal with the Trolls, no problem; hell, he even like some of them (not that he'd ever admit to it). But, for whatever reason, Karkat was driving him up the fucking wall as of late.

He glanced back up at his screen, and his eyes locked on a line of capslocked gray text, and he just couldn't take it anymore.

CG: HA!!

CG: YOU THINK YOU CAN BLOCK ME!!!

CG: THINK AGAIN INFERIOR DAVE HUMAN!!!

CG: I CAN GET AROUND ANY BLOCK YOU THROW MY WAY!!!

CG: I'M BETTER AND SMARTER THAN YOU AND THERE'S NOTHING YOU CAN DO ABOUT IT!!!

CG: I'M A BITCH?!?!

CG: I'LL MAKE YOU SUCK MY BULGE YOU INSIGNIFICANT LITTLE LUMP OF FLESH!!!

CG: I'LL SHOW YOU WHO THE COWARD IS!!!

Dave smirked slightly to himself as he replaced the sunglasses on his face. "I hope he does come here. I'd love to get my hands around his scrawny fucking neck," he said to no one in particular. He quickly checked his Strife Deck to make sure he had a sword handy, in case things got ugly.

"-EHOLD PUNY HUMAN!" Karkat came in yelling, appearafying right on top of Dave's bed. "YOUR GOD IS HERE TO PUT YOU IN YOUR GRUB FUCKING PLACE!" He jumped down off the bed, trying to look intimidating with his arms crossed and a glare set upon his face. "Who's the coward now? I'm gonna make you suck my grub fucking bulge!" he growled

A satisfied, almost malicious smile spread across Dave Strider's face as he crossed the room in three long strides and decked the foul mouthed little Troll right in his fucking face without even saying a word. He hit the little shit with everything he had, and he could feel himself bleeding from several deep scratches from the inhuman little fuck's teeth; it was worth it.

Having been caught off guard, Karkat fell back on his ass next to Dave's bed, having split his own lip on his sharp teeth. "WHAT THE FUCK!?!" he demanded, looking up at Dave with a mix of a glare and surprise, a small stream of blood dripping down to his chin.

He attempted to clamor back to his feet, using the blanket on Dave's bed as a sort of handle, only to have them slip off and have him fall back on his ass.

Dave kneeled down with one knee pressing into the middle of Karkat's chest, smirking at him. "What was that, Karkat?" he asked. "I believe you said you were going to put me in my place. I'll show you, you little bitch. We'll see who's put in whose place."

Karkat bared his teeth and growled. "I WILL PUT YOU IN YOUR PLACE!" he snarled, trying to push Dave's knee off of him.

Dave dug his knee in harder, his smirk transforming itself into a vicious snarl. "I'd like to see you fucking try, you little pussy. I'll show you who's the fucking boss, you pansy-ass little bitch."

Karkat returned the snarl, though his breathing was starting to turn ragged because of the impeding weight on his chest. "I fucking made you! I created this damn place! I am the fucking boss! I'm your fucking gog!"

"YOU," Dave shouted, "NEED TO LEARN TO SHUT YOUR FUCKING MOUTH." In a fit of blind rage, Dave pulled his hand back and punched Karkat across the face again, drawing blood from the both of them. "You just never fucking shut up! I swear, I should just fucking kill you right now and save everyone else the trouble of dealing with you!"

Karkat coughed, blood now coming from his nose as well as his mouth. "OH YEAH? THEN FUCKING DO IT!" he snarled, baring his teeth with a snarl. "YOU DON'T HAVE THE GUTS! I BET YOU COULD'T EVEN KILL ONE OF YOUR PUNY EARTH INSECTS!"

Dave clamped both his hands around the Troll's throat, his knee still pressed against Karkat's sternum. "I'll fucking shut you up one way or a gogdamned other," he snarled, honestly intending to strangle the boy to death.

Karkat let a soft gasp escape his lips. "D-do it!" he hissed, struggling for air. After a moment he had to close an eye just to be able to focus with the other. He gripped Dave's wrists tightly, his nails digging into the skin. "What are you waiting for?"

Dave growled low in his throat, his hands shaking. As much as he wanted Karkat dead, he somehow just couldn't bring himself to deliver that final, destructive squeeze that would crush the boy's windpipe. He stared down at the prostrate Troll beneath him and they locked eyes momentarily; Dave's red eyes were visible through his shades, and they were filled with malice and hatred the likes of which he had never felt before.

Karkat wheezed loudly, he had been aiming for a snarl. "I thought you were going to kill me?" he wheezed. He was starting to get light headed, he should save his energy and just concentrate on breathing but the blood dripping from his nose was distracting him from rational thought. "What are you waiting for? Kill me. Do it."

"Fuck! I wish I could," he growled, "but I fucking can't. I hate you so fucking much I can't stand it, but I can't kill you."

"You can't? Are you wh-" Karkot broke off into a wheeze, his vision almost completely blacking out. "-wh-whining like a little pussy kismesis?"

Dave instantly let go of Karkat's neck like he had a contagious disease and glared down at him furiously. "Don't you even dare say that word in relation to me, you sick little faggot!" he shouted.

Karkat immediately started coughing and gasping for air. He glared up at Dave with one eye as he rubbed his neck. "What? Kismesis? what's the matter?" He smirked. "Afraid you'll be my kismesis?"

"Ugh, fuck, man! If there's anything to be scared of, it's that! There's something wrong with you, ya sick little Troll!" He balled one of his hands into a fist and pulled it back like he was going to knock some teeth out.

"You think I'm a sick troll? At least I never killed other trolls and fed them to my lusis, or crippled one of my friends." Karkat was focusing on Dave with both eyes now. "Compared to some of the others, I'm just a mild annoyance. Besides that, you wouldn't even be worthy of being my kismesis, because you're an insignificant lump of pink flesh"

Dave smirked and let his fist unclench, lowering it back to his side. "Insignificant lump of pink flesh, huh?" he asked. "Well, right now this insignificant lump of pink flesh has you pinned to the floor at his mercy. I may not be able to kill you, but I certainly can maim you. How would you like to join Terezi in being blind, huh?"
