"I will," Voltaire answered. "You just get more rest."

Adair was worried that Voltaire wouldn't be able to concentrate on the match. He had no need for such worries. Eager to finish things quickly, Voltaire blazed through their fight with the Vampires.

Kimi was sleeping when the match ended.

In the crowd of spectators, a face that looked extraordinarily like Kimi's peaked out from under a dark hood. Only one glowing eye was revealed.

Voltaire headed straight back to the doctor's area after the match.

"You know, I've never seen him this concerned before," Mikaela remarked to Adair. She had been watching the match, having already fought and won her own earlier.

"He feels guilty for what happened to her," said Adair. "Kimi gave her heart to save his."

"Blondie blames himself for everything," Mikaela replied. "For such a selfish bastard he sure hates himself a lot."

The stranger in the cloak seemed surprised upon hearing Kimi's name. He tried to wander away, to find his way out of the crowded stands, when some one jostled him and knocked him back into Adair. "S-sorry"

"Hey, it's okay," Adair replied, not getting a good look at the stranger.

"Yeah, usually he's the one who's apologizing all the time," Mikaela added, smirking. "So what happened anyway?"

"We're still not sure, to be honest," answered Adair. "Taire fell asleep and then he summoned wings."

"Wings?" Mikaela asked with a raised eyebrow.

"Yeah. It happened once before," Adair went on. "Anyway, we didn't want him flying off to God-knows-where, so we tried to wake him up. It took awhile, because Taire seemed really dazed, but eventually Kimi managed to get him to come to. But right after that he went into some kind of demon energy overload and got really sick."

"Bet that knocked you out too, with that heart system you two got set up," said Mikaela.

"...Yeah," Adair added, looking a bit shamed. "But it scared Kimi really badly, so she ended up giving her heart to Ava to keep us from turning into demons. It's made her real sick though."

The stranger stood and dusted himself off. "I don't mean to be rude, but I'm looking for someone and her name just so happens to be Kimi"

Both Adair and Mikaela turned to the stranger. "You are?"

Adair was a little uneasy. All others looking for Kimi wanted to take her back by force. Still, this kid didn't seem like one of the guards. He was too polite for that.

"What's your name?" he asked.

"..." The man shifted uncomfortably. He was near seven feet tall, but was standing hunched. "Negau." He finally replied softly. "My sister's name is Kimi."

"You're her brother?" Adair replied with a little shock. "She told us you got caught."

"I did." Negau pulled back his hood to reveal a crisp white bandage wrapped around his head and covering his right eye. "And I didn't get away scott free."

Adair frowned upon seeing the bandages. He also saw how much like Kimi he looked.

"Follow me," replied the redhead, leading the way. "Later Mikaela."

Voltaire had fallen asleep by Kimi's bed, his head and arms resting on the mattress.

Kimi was asleep, holding Voltaire's hand by her head.

Neggy followed Adair closely. He seemed to sigh in relief when he saw Kimi.

Adair sighed at the sight of Voltaire, though more in concern than relief. The Hunter needed to get more sleep. He turned to Negau. "...This her?"

Negau nodded. "What... What's wrong with her?" He asked softly. "She looks so much frailer than normal"

"Um, how much did you hear earlier?" Adair asked, before deciding to give a quick summary. "She gave to heart to Ava to help 'Taire - he's the one by the bed. Because of that she's turned changeling, and she's having a rough time transitioning. She does seem to getting better, but it looks like it will still be a while before she's fully recovered."

"...You'll protect her won't you? You'll both take care of her?" Negau asked softly. He looked to Adair pleadingly. "If she's willing to give her heart away for someone, then that means that he's helped her overcome Talmara's horrible scars." He sighed "I just wanted to make sure she was happy and safe." He gestured at the two holding hands "And I guess I've accomplished that."

Adair smiled and nodded. "We won't let anything happen. Especially 'Taire. He cares for her very much."

"Thank you" Negau replied with a small smile. He took the earring out of his right ear (The only earring he was wearing) "I need to be going, but please give her this when she wakes up... And tell her lefromatisal. She'll understand." He held out the earring.

Adair blinked. "You're not going to stay? You could probably get your eye treated at least."

"My eye?" Negau asked in surprise "My eye is fine"

"Then why do you still have bandages over it?" asked Adair.

"Oh. That eye." Negau replied with a sheepish blush "That one's gone. Its still healing and the scar tissue's still soft"

"Oh," Adair replied uncomfortably. Regrowing eyes was one of the few things the demon doctors couldn't do. "Well...Sure you don't want to come with us? Kimi would like that."

"I'm sure." Negau smiled. "Its best if I go off on my own. It draws the attention away from her."

"I wish you luck then," said Adair. "And hope you can find someplace safe to stay as well."
