Saving Soul

"Forest is right next to the mountain. There should be some caves at or close to the base," Adair answered, proud of sounding so smart while he was feeling so...silly? Drunk? Light? He felt like he could just float away at any moment, which would be most convenient for going over the mountain.

"Maybe that's where Ava and Voltaire are." Anja stated, trying to encourage him. "So let's try to hurry"

"I guess..." he replied as he started walking down the hill. The truth was he didn't want to find them right now. It wasn't like he wasn't concerned...he should be concerned...but he just didn't want them around at the moment. Especially Voltaire. Voltaire would ruin everything right now. Oh well, they would find them eventually.

Anja shivered and pressed herself closer to Adair's warmth. "Here comes the storm. Did you feel the cold gust? We should probably hurry"

Adair felt it too and shivered a little. No, he didn't want to be caught in the rain. That would ruin his good mood too. He hurried into the forest. They needed a cave, but the forest was better than the open.

Anja kept a close watch. "The hell is with all these pink things? They're annoying little furballs." She glowered at one sitting on a tree branch.

(btw, totally love the idea of making them pink)

(Thanks. Technically they're pink with some light red stripes on the side. But I didn't think of that until later :P)

Adair gave a hum of indifference. He hardly even noticed the squirrels anymore. All he really noticed was Anja.

"You're so pretty," he said lightly.

"..." Anja raised an eyebrow lightly. "You hit your head in the fall didn't you" she accused. "Just find a cave so the storm doesn't kill us."

Adair didn't answer, instead lightly resting his head on hers. It felt like everything would be fine as long as he had her.

They did eventually find a cave, though it took awhile. The storm was about to hit.

"What is with you Adair?" Anja grumbled as they finally made it to the cave. "Put me down and grab some of those dead branches outside the cave. We'll need them to make a fire." It wasn't that she wasn't enjoying how warm Adair was, he was just starting to worry her with the way he was clinging.

"Nothing. I feel fine," he answered with a smile, putting her down. "I feel great, actually."

"Great" Anja replied dryly. "Firewood. Then you can keep on feeling great."

(I think she's suspicious.)

(Adair would be suspicious if he wasn't so out of it XD)

"Right," he replied, though he was reluctant to leave her. Still, if firewood she wanted, firewood he would get. He went outside.

Anja sighed and laid down on the cold stone. She wondered where Ava and Voltaire had ended up. She closed her eyes to try and think. She was so absorbed in her thoughts that she didn't notice Adair come back in.

(I still need to figure out where those two are during all this XD)

"Firewood," Adair announced, tossing down the sticks and setting them on fire with a quick firebreath. He sat down next to Kimi, leaning on her slightly.

"Adair." Anja grunted "Why do you insist on being all over me all of a sudden?" She glowered at him lightly.

"Because I love you," Adair stated simply, as if it was the most obvious fact in the world.

"..." Anja put her hand on his fore head to check his temperature before remembering that he was a changeling. "Adair. How long ago did you realize that?" She asked evenly. She was remembering a tidbit about pink furry things that she hoped wasn't true.

Adair tried to think back, but everything was a haze. "...Always?"

Anja face palmed. "Was it after the furry thing bit you? Is that when you realized it?" She asked, trying not to get angry.

Adair shrugged. "...Dunno."

"Adair, that thing that bit you is poisonous." Anja stated. "Its not deadly, but a type of aphrodisiac. Do you know what that is Adair?" Anja asked. She was pissed that she didn't remember about the little pink beasties earlier.

"No," Adair replied, growing sleepy. "What is it?"

"Its a sex drug." Anja replied. "It takes alot to get it out of your system otherwise." She sighed. "Are you okay?"

"Yeah, I'm fine," Adair answered, rubbing against her slightly. "I'm with you, so why wouldn't I be fine?"

(Adair isn't very logical at this point lol)
