Thunderstorm

"Well I guess from a plant's point of view..." Mikaela trailed off. "Everything has life in it. The only way not to eat something without life is to not eat at all."

Ross shrugged. "I guess it depends on who and what you are. No one likes to see others eating their own kind. Ya know? Plus he dosn't mind people eating fruit....though if I remember his class correctly there are reasons for fruit anyway."

"True. I don't want to see any humans eaten, not matter how annoying some of them are."

Ross nodded quickly in agreement. "Yeah. It's why we do not let dangerous peoples here. Ya know, unstable man eaters."

"Well we won't eat anybody," Mikaela assured. "Zap or drench them maybe, but not eat them."

Ross chuckled. "Do that at your own risk. If someone sees you and asks I wasn't involved and I didn't bring you guys here." He grinned.

"No one's going to get it unless they deserve it," Mikaela replied.

Ross shrugged. "Well I still will not let you guys get me in trouble, but there are a lot of jerks around here. They would deserve a good ass kicking..."

"Whatever. If they start it, they get it," Mikaela replied simply. "Are we there yet?"

Ross stopped at the question and looked around. "Oh...where were we going again? I forgot." He grinned stupidly.

"Wherever the plant-person is," Mikaela answered with some annoyance. Maybe she should just search the campus herself if her guide was this forgetful.

Ross chuckled. "Oh, we talked about a bunch of places so I guess I got mixed up. We're close to the greenhouse though. Just this way." He tucked between two of the larger buildings, going into a wide open area with a small greenhouse inside, though upon closer inspection it was fairly large, at least for a greenhouse.

Mikaela and the prince hovered over to examine all the different plants inside. One of them snapped at them upon coming too close to the class, causing both to dart back.

"I think we found the Venus Flytrap," Mikaela stated dryly.

Ross chuckled and kept his distance from most of the plants. Knowing better then to get too curious in Ark's space. Calling out to the professor calmly. "Hey! Prof. Ark! You in here?!" There was a muffled yell back in response. Leading Ross to where the man was throughly tangled in some vines. Professor Ark was a fairly thin man, his skin holding a slight green tint to it, but not enough to make it obvious he wasn't human. The part that made it obvious was his long green hair that would tangle off into vines and leafs in places, his eyes matching it in color and hidden behind a pair of half moon glasses. His clothing simple and seeming to be made out of hemp or maybe a potato sack, it was hard to tell.

"...Does he need help?" asked Mikaela warily.

Ross chuckled. "Probably not. He's pretty in tune with the plants. It's not like he's in any danger." He shrugged. Watching the man untangle himself and look at the trio curiously. "Hello Ross....who are these two?"

"I'm Mikaela, and this is Prince...just call him Prince," Mikaela replied, tired of vainly trying to get people to pronounce the prince's name correctly.

Ark nodded and wiped some plant food off of his hands. Smiling kindly at the two before turning to Ross with a less then ammused look. "Arn't you suposed to be in class?" He was dead serious. Ross was behind in a couple of his class and everyone knew that it meant he wouldn't be allowed to play football in the next year. Though the boy didn't seem bothered at all, waving it off. "No, it was cancled today, remember? The teacher was attacked by hornets and driven out of the school grounds."

"What kind of professor was that?" asked Mikaela. "A nature professor?"

Ross chuckled. "Nope, math teacher. He was trying to get rid of the hornet nest in his classroom and they got mad and chased him. It was kind of funny."

"Sounds like it would have been fun to watch," said Mikaela with a smirk.

The Prince floated over to Professor Ark closer. "...So this is what a plant person looks like."

Ark arched an eyebrow at the prince. He was more feminine looking then he truely needed to be but it seemed to work to his advantage at times. Ross chimed in before the man could ask an odd question. "Yup. One of a kind as far as we know."

"Cool," chirped the Prince, beaming as he continued to glide around the professor.

Mikaela pulled him back. "Behave."

Ark dusted himself off and looked to Ross. "Have you shown them the magical arts building? It may be fun for them and it will keep you from angering anyone. Most of the professors there are docile...Save the gym for last or you'll have to deal with Davis and they are too green here to deal with him right now." He grumbled. Ignoring Ross laughing at him calling the duo green. Guessing the boy saw it as ironic.

"Well, I guess we should go there then," Mikaela replied, slightly annoyed that they were being shooed away.
