Rain Dance

Kimi gathered the blankets and slipped her thin flat shoes on. "Okay" She smiled.

"Yeah," Voltaire replied.

Ava stooped down so it was easier for her changelings to climb onto her back.

Kimi climbed up with the blankets and sat happily to wait for Voltaire.

(when they gunna run into Talmara? Or they going to run into some victims first?)

Voltaire climbed up, soon followed by Adair. The Hunter plopped down next to Kimi.

Kimi immediately cuddled up to him.

(Sorry I ment when do you want them to run into him)

(I'm thinking they'd probably run into some victims first. Or possibly Talmara in the middle of making victims.)

Voltaire leaned against her sleepily. He took one of the blankets and pulled it around them.

"Night. Or morning. Or afternoon. Whatever."

Kimi rolled the blanket up and laid it down so they could lay down and use it as a pillow.

"...Yeah, guess that's easier," said Voltaire, laying down himself.

"Leaving," announced Ava, taking off.

(fast-forward whenever ready)

Kimi laid down as well, cuddling up to Voltaire.

She woke sometime later while Ava was still in flight. She carefully sat up with a yawn. "Are we there yet?" She mumbled

"Not yet. But soon," replied Ava.

Voltaire was still asleep. He was singing in his slumber again. Adair had dozed off himself.

Kimi began looking at the scenery only to have a flash of color on the ground catch her attention. "Ava, Is that the dragons?" She asked

Ava looked down and gave out a squawk of surprise. "It is! And they're hurt!" She dove down to investigate.

The sudden drop startled Adair and Voltaire out of sleep.

"What's going on?" asked Voltaire, both he and Adair looking around in alarm.

"The dragons! And they're hurt!" Kimi supplied, holding onto Voltaire tightly.

"The Dragons?" asked Voltaire, before spotting them on the ground. "...Yow. Looks like Quetzalcoatl finally pissed off the wrong demon."

(what wounds would they have?)

(Quetzalcoat would have open wounds and slashes since he's so big. Prince and the girl would have a few broken bones and possibly a few slashes because Talmara likes using his claws. One of them probably has a hole in them)

"What about his changelings?" Kimi asked in concern

"They're to the side. Looks like they're tore up real bad," Voltaire answered, gritting his teeth. "Freaking hell, was it Gales?"

As they landed near them Voltaire could see that he could count out the Heroes. These were slashes caused by claws, not swords. Quetzalcoatl raised his bleeding head.

"What, did you come to laugh at us, phoenixes?" the dragon growled.

"We're here to help, even if you're a big meanie," Ava replied. "What happened?"

Kimi slid off Ava's back and rushed over to the changelings to see if there was anything she could do to help them.

Adair and Voltaire also slid off, running over to check on the Dragon changelings. Both Mikaela and the prince had several slash wounds and were unconscious. Both of Mikaela's arms were bent at wrong angles, as were the princes.

"...Shit," Voltaire hissed, bending down to blow white fire on Mikaela, who looked the worse of the two. Adair worked on healing the prince while Ava treated Quetzalcoatl despite his protests that he didn't need her help.

"I'll go get some splints for their arms." Kimi stated before hurrying to the trees.

"Alright," Voltaire replied between breaths of healing flame. He had most of the cuts closed at this point, but he couldn't heal the broken bones nor any lots blood. It was one of the few things the flame couldn't mend. For once he wished the demon doctors were nearby.

Kimi hurried back with an armload of good thick sticks for splints. "Are they going to be alright? Is there anything else I can do?"

"Aside from broken arms they'll be okay, if you call that okay," reported Voltaire. "Though I bet they're going to be pissed as hell when they wake up."

Quetzalcoatl was ranting about his loss to Ava as she worked on his wounds.

" And then this guy, he called himself Talamari or Tamarack or something..."

Kimi inhaled sharply and stiffened at Quetzalcoatl's words. She turned and looked at him. "Talmara?" She asked, her voice barely above a whisper.

Both Voltaire and Adair also froze.

Quetzalcoatl glanced over to her. "Yeah, that was it. You know that bastard?"

Kimi started shaking. She held herself tightly and tucked her chin to her chest, but she just couldn't stop shaking.

She was shaking in fear.
