Rain Dance

"Alright," Voltaire replied. He waited until Kimi was fully dressed before going over and opening the door.

Kimi followed him out the door.

Voltaire wandered around trying to find the kitchen. He ran into Adair during his roaming.

"Hey Taire," Adair greeted. He was carrying some wood. "You guys missed lunch. You'll have to have leftovers instead."

"Its okay" Kimi mumbled. "Have you been up long?" she asked, slighlty hiding behind Voltaire.

"A few hours," Adair replied. "It's mid afternoon now. You guys were out for a while."

"Yeah, not the best of nights," Voltaire said dismissively as he walked past Adair. "But we'll manage."

Kimi followed, clinging to the back of Voltaire's shirt.

Voltaire took Kimi's hand off his shirt and clasped it in his own. After soon more wandering they finally found the kitchen, where Voltaire began to hunt for leftovers. Considering the live prey he was used to hunting, it didn't take long.

They were only in there a moment before Damon walked in. "Ah, you're up"

"Hey," Voltaire greeted with a mouthful of turkey. "Tell angel boy to not walk in on people, kay? Which reminds me, why are there no locks?"

"There are no locks because my neighbor is insane and has tried to lock herself in my house to jump me. Thus the only door that locks is my bedroom door and the exterior doors." Damon stated. "And Kimi, I need some of your blood."

Kimi nodded.

"Were you expecting said crazy neighbor when we came visiting the other day?" asked Voltaire, remembering the hatchet.

"No actually. I felt the presence of three demons and thought they had come to try and take my head and horns again." Damon shrugged. "It happens on occasion but I always drive them off"

"I'm not a demon, and neither is Adair," Voltaire grumbled. Were their levels of demonic energy really that high?

"Changleings pick up as demons most of the time." Damon shrugged

"Oh," Voltaire replied. He supposed they should get their energy levels checked next tournament anyway. "So where was lover boy to defend you from said possible threat?"

"Dawn doesn't work well after dark. He derives his power from the sun. Besides, I could easily handle demons with your energy levels." Damon replied

Voltaire wasn't sure whether he should be insulted or relieved by that last comment. "Dawn and Sir Knight should meet sometime. They'd have a blast fighting each other around noon."

"Sir knight?" Damon asked with a raised brow.

"I don't know his real name. I don't think even he does," explained Voltaire. "He's a ghost knight who we run into at some changeling tournaments. We don't see him and his changelings much, so we think he must follow another route of tournaments. Anyway, he's solar-powered. Goes mad with it a lot of the time too."

"Ah" Damon replied. "Alright then. Sorry about Dawn by the way. He has no sense of personal."

"We noticed." Kimi replied dryly, her face turning green again.

Damon ran his hand through his hair, he was still using his glamour. "Yeah, sorry..." he winced

"We'll just put stuff in front of the door next time," said Voltaire casually. He had found some chocolate and that had put him in a better mood.

"You do that." Damon replied. "Kimi, if you could come with me we can finish putting the potion together before dinner."

Kimi nodded and stepped forward.

"Be careful what you eat put of there, some of that isn't food, though it looks like it is"

"Like what?" asked Voltaire. "And if it's not food then what's it doing in there?"

"Things I need for my potions and demonic spells. Most of it is on the top two shelves." Damon stated.

"Alright," replied Voltaire. "I'll avoid those two shelves and anything else suspicious then."
