"Sort of. That's about as close to the idea as you're going to get though." Dawn sighed.

Voltaire shrugged. "Suits me fine."

"Tell you what though, be happy she gave you a small one. The females think more practically than the damn males, not that I'm not flattered, but that damn Opal is a pain in the ass to deal with." Dawn rolled his eyes.

"I can imagine," Voltaire replied with a small laugh. "I remember I used to have a bunch of huge trophies back at the guild for every good kill I had. But I can't really do that now that I travel all the time. Seems kinda stupid now." He stuck out his tongue.

Dawn nodded. "Have to be practical." He smirked. "Well, I think I'm going to go help with the chores and stuff" He stated, standing up.

"Alright," Voltaire replied. He glanced at Kimi and felt Lucifer shift sleepily on his head. "Looks like I'll be staying here a while."

Dawn scooped the kitten off his head. "Just remember what I told you" he smirked as he walked out with the cat.

Kimi looked after Dawn in confusion.

Voltaire didn't offer a explanation, instead nuzzling Kimi's hair.

Kimi smiled softly and nuzzled him back. "Mmm, something the matter?" She asked quietly.

"Not really," Voltaire replied, but he knew that wasn't true. The evolution diagnosis had hit him like a anvil, an anvil he should have seen coming, and it weighed on him. Should he tell Kimi?

Kimi looked up at him innocently and gave him a small smile. "You look like you're tired, maybe you should lay back down"

"You're one to talk," Voltaire answered. "But yeah, bed sounds good,"

Kimi smiled again. "I'm okay. I have to help Damon with the ceremony again. He'll need my help again before supper"

"Do I need to do anything for the ceremony, like give blood?" asked Voltaire.

"No" Kimi replied. "You just have to recieve"

"Alright," Voltaire answered, though he seemed slightly annoyed. He didn't like not being able to do anything.
