"Kimi? Evolving? Why you're drawing symbols on the table?" Voltaire asked boredly.

"I do that when I'm bored." Dawn stated. "But the only other thing I can think of is to tell you that Phoenix are sterile."

"Yeah, I know that," Voltaire replied. "Had a jolly good time trying to explain the concept of sex to Ava when she was little. I still don't think she gets it."

Dawn smirked. "Oh allow me" he purred silkily.

Voltaire shrugged. " I remember one of the girls back at the guild got pregnant and tried to explain to me and some other guys what it was like to be pregnant. I kinda got the gist of it, but not really, and I suspect I'll never will since I can't get pregnant myself, thank God. You can try, but I suspect you'll get that kind of result."

"Oh, Angels are very informative. We just have a way about us" Dawn chuckled

"Probably being a few thousand years old helps," Voltaire guessed dryly.

Lucifer jumped up to his shoulder, and then onto his head.

"Sometimes" Dawn smiled.

Lucifer began batting at Voltaire's bangs.

"Stop that," the Hunter growled, swatting his paw away. "Well, what do you know about phoenixes in general?"

"They generally have a mild personality disorder." Dawn joked.

"Such as?" asked Voltaire, missing the joke.

"It was a joke. But I do know they're immortal, sterile, and fire oriented." Dawn stated

"Well I know that much already," Voltaire grumbled. "I just don't- oh, hi Kimi."

Kimi smiled at Voltaire Wearily.from the doorway. She walked over and slipped into his lap, snuggling against his chest.

Damon stood in the doorway. "Did the two of you stay out of trouble?" he asked

"If you mean that all rooms of the house are still standing, then yes," Voltaire replied. He almost reflexively wrapped his arms around Kimi.

"Good. I would hate to have to rebuild the house again." Damon stated. "Don't forget to give that to him" He stated before leaving.

Kimi nodded, more concerned with cuddling Voltaire.

"Give what?" Voltaire asked Kimi in mild confusion. "And do I want to know how the house got destroyed the first two times?"

"First time was a fire, second time a tree fell on it." Dawn stated.

Kimi fished a small bundle out of her pocket and put it in Voltaire's palm.

"Oh," Voltaire replied, before studying the small bag in his hand. "What's this?"

"I would assume that is a bloodstone." Dawn stated

Kimi nodded.

(Kimi's bloodstone is an emerald. A dark one)

"Bloodstone?" Voltaire asked.

"A gemstone that strongly resembles one's blood." Dawn explained "Like for most humans it would be a ruby. Damon's is a black opal. Angels don't really have one."

"I see," Voltaire replied, peeking into the dark emerald that was inside. "Something for the ceremony, I assume?"

"No actually" Dawn smiled. "Just a regular courting ritual. I have a black opal the size of Ava's head in our bedroom"

"Oh, so kinda like an engagement ring...er stone then," Voltaire replied.
