"You could always stay with Ava." Anja suggested. "I probably will."

"Guess so," Adair admitted. It also reminded him of a certain suspicion that he didn't want to share with Voltaire. "Traveling around is nice. I would be doing it anyway if everything was normal."

Anja nodded. "Same here. Its much better when you have a companion though."

"Yeah. Traveling alone is dangerous," said Adair. "Not that it's not still dangerous anyway, but it beats being cooped up all day being taught manners."

"Manners." Anja teased "Who needs em"

"Voltaire," Adair replied flatly.

"No, he just needs a good ass kisking" Anja snickered

"That just makes him more determined," Adair replied. "Trust me, he's gotten beatdowns he both did and didn't deserve, and he's more stubborn than ever."

Anja smirked. "Well he's afraid of me now"

"Yeah, congratulations on that," Adair answered with a smirk. "There's not much he's afraid of. I think there's shots, but that's about it."

"Well now he tried to stay out of arms reach." Anja stated

"I think he's not sure what to do about you. Yet," said Adair.

"He's scared of me~" Anja purred

"Maybe he'll behave better. Maybe," Adair replied. "I wouldn't count on it though."

"I don't garuntee anything" Anja smiled

"Neither do I," said Adair. "I honestly don't know what his problem is. I swear he's just a jerk to be a jerk sometimes."

"Hmm. Well I know what to do with you" Anja smirked

Adair smirked back, nuzzling her hair. "Yeah, I suppose what matters. We could stand here all day trying to figure out what's wrong with Voltaire's head."

"I'd rather not" Anja chuckled

"Exactly," Adair replied. "Let's talk about something else."

"What about us?" Anja shrugged.

'Well, what about us then?" Adair asked.

"I dunno." Anja shrugged. "I just wanted to change topics."

"Well, if you're on participating the tournament at some point then you'll probably have to give some blood," Adair warned. "Probably some soul too."

"I'm used to it" Anja shrugged
