I'll Be There (MSPA)

John smiled and hugged Dave a little closer. "Thanks Dave. That means a lot to me since its coming from you." He nuzzled Dave's neck with a little pleased noise. "I can't wait to give you your real present later though"

"Mmmkay," Dave sighed, smiling into John's dark locks. "Whatever it is, I'm sure it's fucking awesome. Cool kids only give cool presents; so, obviously, the coolest kid must give the coolest presents."

"Okay, you may have me there" John chuckled. "I don't think this will top Casey."

Dave chuckled softly. "That was pretty cool, huh? I'm still really glad you like her. I fucking lurked that eBay auction for hours trying to make sure I got it for you."

John smiled. "I don't think I could have ever asked for a better present. Out of all of the presents it was the best."

"We'll see about that. Why don't you show me what you got for me, hmm? And then we can see which present is the best."

"Okay, sit up and close your eyes" John smiled, getting up and going to his closet.

Dave complied, sitting up against the headboard with his eyes closed tightly, too cool to try and peek.

John pulled out a long box, which was wrapped with red paper, and set it across Dave's lap. He had saved up his money for a whole year to buy this for Dave and had even had to get the rest from his dad, but it would be worth it when Dave saw the new turntables.

Dave grinned widely as he unwrapped the gift, but as soon as he saw what it was his jaw fell open. He stared at the new set of turntables in silence, then looked up at his lover with tears in his eyes. "John, I... Holy shit, John. I don't even..." he rambled, unable to find words to express how he felt.

John smiled. "Your old set was kind of trashed, so I thought I'd get you a new set. I saved up for them for a while"

"John, I..." he said, wiping tears from his eyes. "I can't... Gog, I have no words! Fuck, I love you!" He gently pushed the gift aside and grabbed John in a tight hug, burying his face in the boy's neck. "Fuck, I can never top this."

"But Casey was much better than that" John protested lightly. He wrapped his arms around Dave regardless.

"No. No, John," he said, shaking his head. "Just no. This is... this is way better than anything I could ever get you or do for you. Thank you so, so much."

John blushed slightly. "You mean it?" he asked. "You really think so?"

Dave nuzzled his face into John's neck, making a very uncool little sniffling noise. "Yes. This is the best present, John. Out of all the presents, this is the best. I can't even begin to tell you how much I appreciate this. I mean... Gog, John! They're so, so cool. So cool. I can't even begin to take a guess at how much this must have cost you. I can't... Why the hell would you even waste so much on someone like me? I don't even understand."

"..." John bit his lip and blushed lightly. "Its because I love you man. You're my best bro. I just... I wanna make you happy"
