This Is Love (MSPA)

Dave stepped off of his plane feeling like his heart was still miles above the ground. He'd waited for that day, that moment, for weeks. It was going to be even better than he'd expected at first; John's dad was going to pick him up at the airport because John still had one day left of school for the year. That meant he would be waiting for John when he got home. It would also give him some time to make a good impression on Mr. Egbert.

He headed out into the lobby and looked around for the tall, lanky man who looked so much like an older version of John,

Mr. Egbert was wearing his business suit as per usual with a pipe in his mouth as he waited. He sat in the waiting bay outside the loading dock reading a Betty Crocker cookbook and trying to decide what kind of cake to make to welcome John's friend to the house. He glanced up every so often to see if he couldn't spot the boy John had given him a picture of the night prior.

Dave spotted Mr. Egbert first and grinned a little. A Betty Crocker cookbook; of course. But he had a welcoming gift of his own that he thought Mr. Egbert would appreciate. He walked over and stood at the man's elbow, looking down at the book over the top of his shades. "Hello, Mr. Egbert," he said calmly, with a smile.

Mr. Egbert looked startled. "Oh, you must be Dave" hsmiled around his pipe. "Nice to finally meet you" He held out his hand to shake.

Dave's smile widened and he gripped Mr. Egert's hand tightly, the way men were meant to shake hands. "Trust me, Mr. Egbert, the pleasure is all mine. Oh, and I have a little something for you. My Bro and I wanted to thank you for letting me stay, and I know how much you like to bake, so I brought you one of our family cake recipes. Bro makes it a lot, and it's really good," he said, pulling the folded recipe for Chocolate Banded Mousse Cake out of his pocket and handing it to the man.

"Oh, well then" Mr. Egbert grinned. "You just solved my problem. How about a trip to the store before we head home? John won't be home from school for another three hours yet and we can surprise him. Make his favorite for dinner and a cake from this lovely recipe"

"Yes," Dave replied vehemently. "Yes, that is exactly what we should do. I can help you cook, right, Mr. Egbert? I want to help cook John dinner."

"I suppose you can, but I'm not going to start cooking until after he gets home. Though I will start the cake and you can help with that if you'd like" Mr. Egbert smiled. "Shall we?"

"We shall."

Dave was sitting on the couch and fidgeting impatiently when John finally got home. As soon as the front door opened, Dave was on his feet like a racehorse coming out of the gate. He wrapped his arms tightly around John's waist and picked him up, spinning the boy around so that he could fall back leaning against the doorframe, holing John tightly to his chest.

"Oh, John," was all that he said.

John could only grin. When he could touch the ground again, he ran his hands along Dave's arms, his chest, his face, all to assure himself that Dave was really here. "Dave" John whispered happily. "This is great!"

"Yeah," he said. "Yeah, this is fantastic."

Dave pulled him back against his chest again, tucking the boy's head under his chin and pressing his face into the soft, dark hair. He could have stood there like that for forever.

John hugged him back as tightly as he dared. "Let's go up to my room!" he suddenly exclaimed. "I can show you all my cool stuff!"

"I would love to see your cool stuff, bro," Dave replied, smiling blissfully. "Lead the way."

He followed John up to his room (which of course he'd already figured out the location of) and shut the door quietly behind them before grabbing his best friend in another bone-crushingly tight hug. "I just... Gog. I want to hold on to you like this forever."

John nuzzled his face into Dav'es shoulder. "I wouldn't mind" he replied honestly. "I kinda like you holding me" To prove his point he wrapped his own arms around Dave again.

"I love you," he whispered tenderly, kissing the top of John's head. "Gog, do I love you. I love you so much."

"Dave?" Davie?" John asked, looking up at him shyly. "Can I kiss you?"

"I... Fuck yes, John. Fucking hell yes. You don't even have to ask." Dave's heart thundered in his chest at the thought that he was about to kiss the only man he ever had or ever would love.

John licked his lips timidly and stood on his tiptoes (They were close in age but Dave was taller than him) to hesitantly press their lips together.

Dave wrapped his arms just a bit tighter around John's waist and lifted him up so that the boy wouldn't have to stretch; John felt so light in his arms. He slid a hand up to cup the back of his lover's neck and hesitantly deepened the kiss, sliding his tongue between John's lips and dexterously avoiding those three protruding teeth.

John shuddered and let out a soft wanton moan. He wrapped his arms around Dave's neck and opened his mouth wider for him.

Dave kissed his friend deeply, exploring his mouth and panting hotly against his lips. It took all the self control he had to not just toss John down on the bed and have his way with the boy. He knew he should take it slow. He should just hold his lover close and listen to his heart beat and... oh, but fuck if John weren't softly moaning that nickname and pressing all up against him. Gog it was so hard to keep himself under control.

John didn't know being kissed could feel so good. He pressed his body flush to Dave's, or at least as close as he could and moaned his nickname. "Davie" he moaned softly, tangling his fingers in Dave's blonde locks. It felt so good to be this close to the boy he'd been dreaming of.

Dave let out a soft, desperate moan and pulled back from the kiss abruptly. "John... John, bro... We have to stop. I told you I wasn't gonna fuck you the first night, and if we keep this up... Don't make me make a liar out of myself, John."

John panted softly and let out a small whine. "B-but I don't want to stop. I don't want to stop. I-I just want to be close to you" he stated, worrying his bottom lip with his teeth.

Dave carried John over to the bed and laid him down carefully before rolling in beside him. "So... just be close to me," he said, his voice wavering a bit. He was a fucking Strider and he was going to keep his word if it killed him and, at this rate, it just might. "But if I keep kissing you like that, I'm gonna break my word to you. And I don't wanna do that. I just... want to hold you tonight."
