Some Things Just Can't Be Understood

"Okay!" Pheobie grinned "Are you going to help me Maple?"

"One moment dear," replied Maple, lifting up the elephant again. "Meet you inside."

Both he and the elephant passed through the ship wall as if it wasn't there at all. Upon going downstairs, Maple wandered around trying to figure out where he was going to put the tremendous creature.

Pheobie skipped in after him. "Pick an empty room and I'll start from there" She grinned.

"Uh, there should be one on the left there," said Maple, pointing with one hand while holding up the elephant with the other. "Actually, I think I'll put Mr. Pachyderm in there. Anyway, the three rooms down from it should all be empty. If there's anything weird in them, let me know and I'll deal with it."

"Okay!" Pheobie chirped. She skipped off to one of the filled rooms.

The room was just big enough for the elephant. Maple figured the elephant deserved a room all by itself anyway, so he left it there and went outside.

"Hey Pheobie, what do you-" he began, but Pheobie was nowhere in sight. "...Oh well. She'll be back out soon enough."

Pheobie started organizing the smaller animals according to what they ate, since it would be easier to subdue them that way. When she ran out of small animals, she popped back outside to get Maple. "Okay, time for the bigger stuff" She chirped

"Okay dear," replied Maple. "You want herbivores or carnivores?"

"Herbivores first." Pheobie replied. "They're easiest."

"Okay, herbivores it is!" announced Maple, picking up two antelopes, starting to walk, and then pausing. "...Which one's the herbivore room?"

"Left of the elephant." Pheobie informed him. "Carnivores are the two on the right."

"Alright then!" replied Maple, carrying the antelopes to the designated room. He preceded to do so with more larger herbivores, and when he got impatient he turned on 2X Speed to hurry the process.

When the room was filled, Pheobie directed him to another room that could be used. She was probably enjoying this more than she should have been.

Maple skittered about like a super-powered chipmunk, whisking animals to their designated places. He was probably enjoying this more than he should have been too.

"SoIsThat-" Maple began, before turning off 2X Speed. "Is that everyone?"

Pheobie nodded. "Should be. We;re just waiting on your friends right now" Pheobie smiled.

Said friends soon came gliding in, a third, slightly disoriented person in tow. This person, older than either Dalios or Falcon but younger than Maple, was a bit of an odd sight: semi-long golden-orange hair, a blue right eye and an orange left eye with a scar over it, thin as grass yet still strong-looking. It was hard to mistake Razekar for anybody else.

"Ah, you found him!" Maple cheered. "Where was he?"

"Down at the power area, messing with the electronic gate and security system," Dalios explained. "Apparently just got caught when time froze. Good timing on that."

"Sorry" Pheobie apologized again out of habit. "It was an accident"

"Didn't I just say it was a good thing?" Dalios reminded, before turning to Razekar. "Here's the reason you didn't end up worse, Raze."

Finally coming out of his daze, he tipped up his hat and gave Phoebie a smile.

"Well, sounds like I owe you one, young lady," said Razekar. "Miss...uh..."

"Pheobie" She smiled. "And sorry but its habit, I really did think I broke something."

She turned to Maple, her skirt twitching around her legs attractively. "Okay, so we have all the animals right? Even the baby Griffin? I didn't see it in there"

"Griffin? Now that you mention it..." said Maple, looking around. He hadn't seen it anywhere. "Guys, did you pick up a baby griffin?"

"No," both Falcon and Dalios replied. "Wasn't there one near you guys when we met you?" Falcon added.

"Yeah, so I would think..." Maple muttered. "Hold on, I'll go out and check for it."

Pheobie nodded. "I hope its okay. I don't want anything to happen to it, it was just a lil' baby" she pouted at the mere thought of harm to the small creature.

Maple didn't need to look very far, for the little griffin cub suddenly flew up to him and nearly knocked him over. It looked just fine, pawing at Maple.

"Your time freeze missed this pup here," said Maple in vague amazement. "Either that or he was immune to it."

The griffin flew past Maple and the others are boarded the ship.

Pheobie grinned and hurriedly followed the griffin onto the ship, cooing to it soothingly and playfully at the same time.

The griffin cub happily followed Kimi wherever she went. She seemed to have a natural charm with animals.

The cat, which had been sleeping in Maple's control chair all this time, came down and stopped at the sight of all the new visitors. Rolly cheerfully came over to sniff it and the cat hissed at him.

Pheobie found great glee in this little fact and rushed back over to Maple after going a lap around the inside of the ship. She cheerfully clung to his front and grinned up at him. "Its so cute~~" she squealed "Can we keep it?"
