Arthur was sitting in the outside cafe of his favorite coffee shop, sipping a cup of earl grey tea and smoking one of his long thin cigarettes. He was in a bad mood, though it was hard to tell since he was British. He had a falling out with a boyfriend that just became an ex, because of a little friend he found he had feelings for. It just made him even more pissed thinking about it. They had had a great thing going on and that little slut had to go and ruin everything.

He blew a smoke ring to the sky to try and relieve some stress.

Thaddeus Compton hauled himself out of bed at the ungodly hour of ten in the morning with a groan. Dammit, he hadn't even gotten home until almost five. He was hungover and still feeling a slight buzz from whatever they'd been passing around at the rave last night; the last thing he wanted to do was get up and teach his art history class. That had to be the most inhumanely boring class he'd ever taught in his life; he wanted to practice art, not learn about the supposed meanings of other, long dead artists' work.

A grouchy sigh escaped his lips. He had to have his tea before he left for school. If he didn't get his tea, he was going to kill someone.

Thaddy walked out to the patio of the coffee shop and sat at a table in the corner with a groan. What was left of his buzz was gone, so now all he had was a pounding headache. He took a sip of his tea and stared off into space.

"Hnnn.... I hate fuckin' teachin' sometimes."

"Join the club. Everyone 'ates something." Arther stated almost boredly. He had the table next to him. "I personally hate small whiny boys that want what they don't have." he continued, a certain orange haired boy the target of his anger.

"Yeh, well, I hate teachin' art with a hangover," he replied, turning his gaze toward the blonde at the next table over. "I take it you been dumped recently, eh buddy?" He grinned suddenly, and immediately regretted using his face muscles as a bolt of pain shot through his head. "Damn shame. You musta been datin' a fool."

Arther shrugged. "He loved his whiny little slut friend just a little bit more than me." he snipped.

A woman a few tables over shook her head at him with a glare.

"Lady, you can glare and shake your 'ead all you want. I'm British, I don't give a flying fuck if you approve of my language."

The woman left in a huff.

Thaddeus burst into a fit of rather painful laughter, clutching his side and his poor, sore head. "Hahaha! That's right! Tell the Yank bitch off! Ohman. I think I like you, fella. What's your name?"

"Arthur," he replied shortly "And yourself, Mr. Art teacher?"

Thaddy held his hand out for Arthur to shake. "Thaddeus Compton, my good sir. A pleasure to meet you."

"Always nice to meet a fellow brit" Arthur smirked, shaking Thaddy's hand firmly.

Thaddeus gripped Arthur's hand firmly and looked him in the eyes as he shook his hand, the way a man should shake hands. When he let go he smiled brightly at his fellow Brit and gestured toward his teacup. "Earl Gray, I presume? A good way ta start off a morning, that is," he said amicably. "Say, I don't suppose you'd be free later on today? I know a place what's got some good liquor, if you're interested."

"I will be after four. I have a family portrait to paint today at one and I should be finishing up right around then." Arthur chuckled. "But I won't drink much. I don't on the week days. Drinking's more of my saturday than it is my Tuesday."

Thaddeus grinned widely at him, his left eye twitching slightly at the pain the motion caused. "So it's a date, then?" he asked, his eyes shining eagerly.

"A date it is." Arthur chuckled. "Where shall we meet? Here?" he asked.
