Sweet as Sugar

"I take good care of my tail" Mu smiled.

"As long as you take care of the rest of you too," answered Melly.

"I do." Mu smiled. "But I brush my tail extra"

"I take extra good care of my hat," Melly said, pointing to her leopard-print beret. "It's a gift from my parents."

Mu smiled. "It looks cute on you"

"Thanks," Melly replied with a smile. "But yeah, I've had it like...forever."

"I've had my tail for ferever too" Mu smiled

"Well of course. You were born with it," Melly answered, sticking her tongue out at him. "I wasn't born with this, but I've since I was...five, maybe? It didn't fit me then, of course. Kept falling over my eyes."

"But it feels like part of you by now doesn't it?" Mu chuckled, getting close to Melly's ear to purr in it. "Like my tail is for me, you'd be lost without it."

"Um, yeah, something like that," Melly replied, giggling a little. "I've had some people not recognize me without my hat. I don't know if that's a good or bad thing."

"Hmmm. I still think you look cute with it. Maybe you would look pretty without it too" Mu purred.

"Well nobody said I looked ugly without it. They just don't always recognize me without it," Melly answered, taking her hat off to look at it. The pattern was worn, but the hat itself was still in good condition for its age.

(She totally missed that, didn't she?)

Mu chuckled lightly and nuzzled her hair. "You're pretty anyway. You know that?"

(yep XD)

"Um, s-sure," Melly replied awkwardly. "Uh, can't pass for a model or anything, but sure."

"I think you could" Mu purred.

(Think he could seduce her?)

(I dunno. Maybe)

"Um..." Melly began. "This is nice, but it's...kinda awkward. With all these people around and stuff."

"Well, where were we going?" Mu asked, returning to his perky and chipper self.

"Um, back to my studio," Melly answered. "Well, the one in this area anyway. I have a bunch of them around since I travel quite a bit."

"Okay! Lead the way!" Mu grinned

Melly did so, trying to weave around all the people. She was glad that the artist area of this city was so successful, but she never did like big crowds like this.

growing bored on the ground, Mu decided to climb up and follow by rooftop. He liked that a lot more.

Melly couldn't help but laugh at that. She wouldn't have minded traveling that way herself if she could.

Finally she turned into a alleyway, moving some boxes to reveal the entryway into her studio.

Mu dropped down next to her. "Is this it?" He asked

"Yeah," Melly answered, unlocking and opening the hidden door. "I'm not here a lot of the time, so I have to keep it hidden so random robbers don't break into it. Plus it's kinda like a secret clubhouse for me and my friends."

Mu smiled. "That's cool!"
