Thunderstorm

Ross chuckled. "You just have to be able to aford the house and find a job."

"What kind of job?" asked Mikaela.

Ross shruged. "Depends on the area. Some jobs are easier to find in certin districts."

"What jobs are in the central district?" asked Mikaela.

Ross chucled. "I'm not really sure."

"That's a lot of help," Mikaela grumbled. "So what are these tests about?"

Ross chuckled. "Mostly it's basic stuff. If you're not up to standards you're put into the schools. The survey helps them tell if you're dangerous and what aid you can get."

"Does that mean you're not up to snuff then, since you're in the schools?" Mikaela teased.

Ross chuckled. "Actually college is after main schooling. So I'm a head. If you're under the highschool level you'll be stuck in classes with children much younger."

Mikaela frowned. There was a lot of stuff that she didn't know here, so it was likely that might happen to her. The Prince of course had no problem with this solution.

Ross stretched and chuckled. "Though there are private tutors and things to help. Some of the teaching students here do it for credit hours."

Mikaela just shrugged. She probably needed one of those.

Ross yawned. "Want to head to the student union? It's where they serve the food around here...unless you make it at your dorm. Which is an odd idea actually. Do you know how to cook Mikaela?" The question alone didn't seem too horable, but somehow Ross' voice held a slightly sexist tone to it. Though he seemed fully unaware of how he sounded.

"I know how to hunt and cook game food," Mikaela replied, missing the possible sexism. "Anyplace we could hunt around here?"

Ross shook his head. "There's no hunting of any kind on the school grounds. The only areas that would be semi possible would be the outerlands and maybe Sylica."

"Well, guess we could always try what's on campus," said Mikaela. "And if we don;t like it we could try the outerlands or Sylica or whatever."

Ross chuckled softly. "I don't think you'd want to eat anything you catch on Sylica. It's a prison island. They let you hunt the convicts for a price."

Mikaela snorted. "Sounds fun, depending on the convict. But not edible."

Ross nodded and stretched. Moving to start his way carefully up the stairs. "Yeah, the only people who really have any fun doing that are the man eating types. They hunt there to get it out of their system."

"Well that's than them eating innocents," Mikaela replied. "Bet it encourages all the other humans to behave too."

Ross frowned. "Humans dosn't survive there long. They put very dangerous people in there. It's like an island of evils. They teach that early on here."

"That's what I mean," said Mikaela. "Behave or you get sent to the bad island to get eaten."

"Or worse." He shrugged and walked off, hitting the top of the stairs finally and heading out of the building.

"So where are we going now?" asked Mikaela.

Ross chuckled. "I though we agreed to go to the Student Union to grab a bite."
