"Must be a lot of trouble, getting a bunch of different religions to get along," remarked Mikaela.

Ross shrugged. "Lord Florence keeps everything fairly peaceful around here. Usually the problems start up when new clergy are added or if some of the newest arivals to the island start fights. Most people are fairly relaxed and alright with eachother."

"I give this Florence guy credit then," said Mikaela.

Ross nodded and smiled. "Yeah, he's a cool dude. Though I feel bad for the guy he's chosen to take his place when the time comes."

"Who's his successor?" asked Mikaela.

Ross shrugged. "I think the guy's name is Allan, he's a priest at one of these temples. I'm not sure which one."

"Gonna have his hands full, isn't he?" remarked Mikaela.

Ross nodded. "I doubt Florence is going to just drop the district into the poor guy's lap and leave him. I don't think the old angel would really want to retire completely anyway. Plus you'd think retireing after a life like that would be boring." He made a face, hating the idea of slowing down his life and relaxing. He liked things fast paced and fun, not slow and calm.

"He would probably still get a bunch of visitors anyway, I'm guessing," said Mikaela. "It's kind of hard to fade into obscurity if you've ruled for a while."

Ross nodded and chuckled. "He's well loved amoung the people, though some thing he's a false idol. So either way he wont be going anywhere really."

"And so peace lives on," said Mikaela.

"Yup, thank the maker." He grinned. "Want to get out and look around or sould we move on to the port district?"

"Let's go over to the port district," answered Mikaela.

Ross nodded, taking off and through another checkpoint. The buildings becoming smaller and the area a bit more filthy. Filled with sleezy people and casinos. Different warehouses filling the area, the ports lined with ships bringing goods from different countries. "This place is where most of our goods come from other countries and where things we make here get sent out. Though the place isn't well protected and is fairly open. It's not too fun to walk around alone."

"Yeah, I can smell the stench from in here," said Mikaela, crinkling her nose.

Ross snickered. "You have no idea. I wont even drive near the whore houses. They reak."

"...They actually allow those here?" asked Mikaela. Usually such things like mistresses, like her, were kept secrets.

Ross nodded and grumbled. "Yeah, but you have to have a permit from the Ladies that rule the district. The laws about how the girls are treated are strict too. Even hitting one of the girls can end in guys being killed. The places reak of fear and sex. Though the guys get treated as well from what I hear. Though I think only women should work in places like that."

"Well, who's to say that women don't go out looking for flings as well?" Mikaela asked with a smirk. "I think that's fair, or as fair as this kind of thing can be."

Ross laughed. "Women don't have to pay for it. There is usually a man out there who would fuck anyone without needing the money."

"That's true too," Mikaela replied with a chuckle.

Ross nodded. "I know what i'm talking about when it comes to weirdness like that." He continued and chuckled. "Next district is the industrial district. Make sure all the windows are up."

"Why would I put them down here, much less there?" asked Mikaela

Ross laughed. "Good point! Now just be ready. It sucks to drive in that area." He passed through the checkpoint and the second he was through a thick haze could be seen around them.

Mikaela eyed the haze in confusion. "Is there a fire or something?"
