Thunderstorm

Ross shook his head. "This place is an industrial hellhole. The factories fill the air with smog and smoke that most don't take well. Usually only stronger people and creatures work and live here."

"Oh yeah, you told me about that," said Mikaela, still looking outside. "Still, didn't think it was this bad."

Ross shrugged. "The guy that rules this place isn't very aware of how limited the workforce is because of the dangerous conditions. He lets the factories do what they want. There are not special conditions set to protect workers or the envoriment here. Special spells are placed to keep the smog from effecting other areas of the island like here."

"Why haven't people just up and rebelled then?" asked Mikaela.

Ross shrugged. "The lord is the King's younger brother and he's a very strong guy. Not to be messed with. Plus this is a decent place for demons and creatures like that to work. The place is always dark so vampires will lurk around here too. It's just a dark dank place for the darker creatures to live."

"Guess that helps keep the darker demons from fouling up other places then," said Mikaela.

Ross nodded and chuckled. "Yeah. Though we never stop them from living in other areas as long as they dont' cause trouble. The laws here are very strict so no one really gets away with much."

"Guess it works out then," Mikaela replied.

Ross nodded and laughed. "I guess. Next is the residential district. It's very nice."

"Good, a place we can actually stop," said Mikaela. Ross's driving has been reasonable, but she was starting to feel queasy. Apparently her stomach disliked car travel of any kind.

Ross nodded and crossed the checkpoint. Finding a good place to park. The area having a couple basic stores but mostly being houses and appartments.

Mikaela looked around. It seemed like a nice area. Boring, but nice.

When Ross got out he stretched, taking in the fresh air and beautiful landscape. "This is where most of the people live. It's mostly families and couples though. People who just want a peaceful place to live. Almost everyone either works in the central district or works in here. Few work at the learning district."

"Are there more exciting places near here?" asked Mikaela. "I'd like a peaceful living space, but I'd like to be able to go somewhere fun too."

Ross chuckled. "Well if you pass to go to the university you can stay at the dorms in the learning district. Though if you live here you can still go to the central district for shoping and intertainment."

"I might consider this place then," said Mikaela. "Though I still want to look around at some of the other areas first."

Ross laughed. "You've seen most of them. You can't live in the spiritual district inless you're related to a member of the clergy or are a clergy member yourself. No one really likes to live in the port district, and the industrial district is well...you saw. The only truely decent areas are this area, the schooling district, or the central district."

"Have we been to the central district yet?" asked Mikaela.

Ross shook his head. "Not yet. I'm saving it for last. It's mostly shoping and entertainment areas though."

"Where else do we need to go then?" asked Mikaela.

"Just the Central district and then back to the university." He chuckled and smiled. "I would also perscribe walking around and finding somthing fun to do in the central district. It's a nice place to hang out and we can even go take a peek at the castle."

"What kind of entertainment is there, besides shopping?" asked Mikaela.

"What castle?" asked the Prince. He had been so quiet looking at things that Mikaela almost forgot he was there.

Ross grinned. "There are arcades, movies, clubs, bars, resteraunts, libraries, and a few awesome lounges." He looked to the prince. "The castle is where our royal family lives. It's open to the public to see to some extent."

"Cool! I want to see that!" chirped the Prince.

"The movies and the clubs sound fun," Mikaela added. "Well, almost all of it does really."

Ross nodded. "Then I'll park near the castle and we can walk around and catch a movie if you guys want."
