Rain Dance

Voltaire observed her practiced assault stoically. It would need work and probably some tutoring from Adair, but it was better than before. "You can stop now. Don't need you all worn out before the match even starts."

Kimi stopped and let her arms go out with a sigh of relief. "What next?" She asked, looking up at him with a small smile.

"Something that'll probably make you dizzy," said Voltaire with a smirk. "Flame spin. Pretty much it's lighting your arms on fire and spinning around real quick. It sounds stupid, but it makes it hard for enemies to attack you directly. Doesn't help much with distance attaks though."

Voltaire lit up his arms and and spun on tiptoe like a top, creating a whirling horizotional blade of flame around him. "Like that."

Kimi smiled. "I can do that" She stated. "If you blow flames at the same time, you can extend your flame's range at the same time to attack"

She did so to demonstrate.

"Uh, yeah, I was getting to that," Voltaire added with a little embarrassment. "Lessee, what else...oh yeah, spitting fireballs. Pretty much it's taking several quick breaths instead of one long one. Good for when you're aiming for a certain thing in the distance but don't want to roast everything around it with firebreath."

Kimi turned and took aim at a farther target. She shot three fireballs and two missed. "Almost" she smiled

Voltaire heard a yell and turned to see another changeling trying to put his pants out. "No, only one missed," he added with amusement.

Kimi blushed and quickly hid behind Voltaire. The changeling was the scary one that teased Voltaire about them when they were in the medical cave. (Omen, I do believe)

"You deserve every bit of that, Omen," Voltaire said, laughing as the Raven finally managed to stomp his pants out. "Why are you still here anyway? You guys lost."

"Zahri has some heart transaction thing he needs to wrap up first," Omen replied lazily, strolling over as if over half of his pant leg hadn't been charred away. He bent over to see Kimi better. "So princess here is a little spitfire."

Kimi blushed darker and hid behind Voltaire more.

Omen casually tossed his red top hat up into theair. He cartwheeled to the side of Voltaire and Kimi, staying in a headstand position as he stuck his tongue out at both of them. Voltaire growled and moved in between Omen and Kimi.

"Hey now, no need to be jealous," answered Omen with a grin. "You know I can't stand noble people."

Kimi hid her face in the back of Voltaire's shirt. "I don't want to train any more" She mumbled softly into the fabric.

"That's fine. We pretty much covered everything anyway," Voltaire answered. He prepared to aim his firebreath at Omen when the top hat landed on his head, obscuring his sight. The flame missed Omen by a foot.

"Well, nice talking to you," said Omen as he walked off, drawing his hat back to him with some invisible string connected to his cuffs. "You and princess have fun now. Who knows, if there's someone for you maybe there's someone for me. I doubt it though."

"I really doubt that too," Voltaire growled back as the Omen left. The Raven either didn't hear him or didn't care enough to respond.

"He scares me more than the dragon girl" Kimi mumbled. "A lot more."

"Yeah, dragon girl's just tempermental. Omen's just psycho," Voltaire replied. "I just don't get that guy at all."

"How much longer till the match?" Kimi asked

"Uh...shouldn't be long now," Voltaire replied, walking toward the exit. "Ava should be here soon to pick us up."

"Okay" Kimi murmured. "I'm ready then. I'll be strong to help"

"You're already strong," said Voltaire, nuzzling her a little.

Kimi smiled. "Love you Taire"

Ava had just arrived outside. "Ready?"

"Yeah," Voltaire answered.

Quetzalcoatl was one of the stranger demons Voltaire had seen. His entire 15-foot body was eel-like, especially his four-eyed face, only it was cloaked in feathers of all colors. He hovered slightly above the ground, as unfriendly looking as always. His changelings floated in front impatiently.

Kimi stood at Voltaire's side, shifting from foot to foot nervously. Her eyes kept shifting between the changelings and their familiar.

Voltaire tapped his foot, partly out of impatience and partly out of nervousness. He both did and didn't want the match to start. Adair was on Ava's back, still feeling sick and groggy.

The demon dog howled.

The Dragons shot forward into the field, shooting streams of water.

Kimi stepped back, behind Voltaire just as they planned, and pressed her hands together into the summoning position. All she needed was a few minutes of distraction.

Voltaire rushed forward, evading the hits meant for him and taking the hits meant for Kimi.

"What the hell are you up to, phoenix boy?" asked Mikaela, smirking. "Or perhaps I should ask, what is your girlfriend up to?"

Voltaire sneered, though he was steaming some. "You'll find out if you wait."

"I don't feel that patient," Mikaela answered. forming a large orb of water. Voltaire didn't give her time to finish though, using fire acceleration to ram into her and disrupt her attack.
