Some Things Just Can't Be Understood

"I crash-landed in your world. A real fine start," Maple joked, sticking his tongue out.

"Mmmhmm" Pheobie chuckled. "Love at first sight"

"Yes. A little something to tell the kiddies later," Maple mused.

"Mmhmm" Pheobie hummed in agreement. "Much later." She added. "I'm not sure I'm ready now."

"Oh no! I'm not ready either!" Maple hastily replied, his sudden movement agitating the water. "I mean, I-"

"Skye, you're going to splash everywhere" Pheobie warned. "And don't worry, I know what you ment."

Maple calmed down, but was not as relaxed as before. Talking about having kids with the kind of business he was in. He wasn't sure if he could even have kids, with all the periodic anti-corruption treatments he had to go through. But he kept that to himself.

Pheobie nuzzled his neck from behind. "Mmmm. Skye, I love you."

"I love you too dear," Maple answered with a small smile.

"You relaxed yet?" She asked softly

"About as relaxed as I'm going to get," Maple replied.

"I think I might know how to get you to relax" Pheobie smiled. "Why don't you turn around and lean back."

"I'm already turned around," said Maple. "Or do you mean facing you?"

"Facing me" Pheobie replied

"Oh," Maple replied, turning around and leaning back. "Like this?"

"Mmhm" Pheobie smiled. "Are you comfortable leaning back against the tub?" She asked

Maple leaned back against the rim. "Am now."

Pheobie smiled and turned around. Carefully she leaned back against his chest so they were both just relaxing. She slipped her hands into his and twined their fingers together.

Maple gave a couple kisses on top of her head. "Love you dear."

"Love you too" Pheobie smiled. "You okay like this?"

"Think so," Maple replied. A pause. "You'll probably have to stay at the base later. Hope you don't mind too much."

"As long as you promise to be careful" Pheobie murmured

"I'll try dear," Maple replied. "I'll try very hard."

"Okay" Pheobie smiled. "Love you"

"Love you too," Maple answered.
