"Guess it would be better than Omen," Adair replied. "Alright."

"Alright, give us question number one" Anja smiled to Ava.

"Volty told me once that it's how babies are made," Ava began. "But how does it make babies?"

"Well you see, When a man and a woman are intimate the man can plant a 'seed' in the woman's belly. Then that seed grows up into a baby in the woman's belly, kind of like a plant" Anja replied without missing a beat. "Next question."

"All the kissing and biting and stuff, why does that feel good?" asked Ava. "I mean, the kissing I kinda understand, but usually biting hurts."

"Well normally yes. But you see everybody has a few very sensitive spots where any attention to it feels good, even if it does hurt a little. But Adair tries very hard not to hurt me." Anja stated. "Don't you Adair?"

Adair smiled and nodded.

"So that's what the weird moaning means? That it hurts a little but mostly feels good?" Ava asked.

"No, that means that the person likes it. Its kind of like how a cat purrs." Anja corrected. "Question number three"

"Hmm," Ava mused. "What does it mean when people have twins? Or triplets?"

"What does it mean if a plant has more than one flower?" Anja countered. "Its just random."

"Oh okay. Sometimes I hear it means different things," Ava replied. "How do you know if a baby's been made?"

"First the woman gets really sick, then she gets fat." Anja replied. "Next question"

"Why do babies not come in eggs?" asked Ava.

"Because we're mammals, not birds," Adair replied.

"Oh," said Ava. "Why do humans take so long to grow?"

"Because we're difficult." Anja replied. "We take our dear sweet time"

"Why are humans diffficult?" asked Ava.

"Another time. That will take too long to explain. Next question. I think we're on five"

"Okay," replied Ava. "Why do humans act embarrassed about sex? It seems to embarrass Volty, and usually nothing embarrasses him."

"Because its something people don't like to talk about because its something that is very intimate and personal." Anja replied.

"Oh," Ava replied. "But other animals don't seem to worry much about it."

"Nevermind on that one Ava" Anja sighed. "Next question"

"I've heard some religious people think sex is bad," said Ava. "Why is that?"

"Probably because its a guilty pleasure." Anja replied. "Or because they're not married. Or something. Next"

"What is marriage exactly?" asked Ava. "I've heard the Hunters mention it but I've never seen anyone do it."

"Hunters don't really believe in marriage," Adair replied. "They're...looser than the average person."

"Its a human thing that has two people swear themselves to each other." Anja explained

"Usually there's a lot of ceremony and planning involved," added Adair. "Then the humans usually stay together until one of them dies."

"Oh okay," Ava replied. "What makes people want to have sex with each other, instead of just being close?"
