Sweet as Sugar

"I'm sure he won't," Melly replied. "Be careful. Your wound."

"I am being careful. I'm just Making sure you're alright." Mu purred. "Are you ready to go to sleep?"

"Yeah," Melly replied. "...Sorry. Guess the whole thing's got me unnerved."

"Shush. Just go to sleep Melly" Mu purred. He started to humm to her again.

"We need to lie down first silly," Melly replied.

Mu chuckled lightly. Rather than lie down right away he turned Melly so she was facing him, straddling his hips, and kissed her head. "Alright. Bed time" He purred. He laid back, pulling Melly down with him. "Okay? Are you okay?"

Melly gave a yip of surprise as she was pulled down. "Y-Yeah."

Mu purred, the sound reverberating in his chest. "Comfortable?" He asked softly. He pulled the blanket over them

"Yeah," Melly replied, cuddling a little closer.

"Good. Love you Melly. Sleep tight" He purred

"Okay," Melly answered. She soon fell asleep.

Mu stayed like that for awhile before he finally fell asleep.

Melly woke up when the light of day began to creep into their tent. She looked over to Mu and felt slightly nervous.

Mu was still asleep. The blood had started to seep through the bandage but was dried now.

Melly just watched him, not wanting to disturb him. He could be very dangerous if he was angry, as she knew now. She knew he wasn't bad, but...apparently she knew next to nothing about him, despite all their blabbing.

Mu's tail twitched in his sleep as he mumbled something aloud from his dream

Melly blinked, and giggled slightly. Mu was very silly in his sleep.

Mu shifted and winced as he moved his shoulder wrong. He slowly opened his eyes.

'Morning," Melly greeted. "How are you feeling?"

"Shoulder hurts." He mumbled, sitting up.

"We need to change the bandages on it," Melly said, getting up to the first aid kit.

Mu winced again as the bandage pulled at the scab.

Melly began to carefully undo the bandage.

"It hurts." Mu stated again.

Melly stopped unwrapping. "Am I hurting it?"
