Soul Meets Body (MSPA)

John blushed lightly. "Umm, s-sure thing Karkat" he mumbled.

"John?" Karkat asked softly. "Would you... I'd like it if you stayed here for a few days. If that's okay."

John grinned like an idiot and nodded. "Of course, I'd love to stay a few days with you"

"You would...?" Karkat said, a little surprised. "...Of course you would, grubfucker! You must feel so privileged to spend so much time in my fucking awesome presence!"

John chuckled. "Of course I do." He moved so that he was holding Karkat to his chest and nuzzled his hair. "I feel so privileged."

At first Karkat stiffened and grumbled at the sudden position switch, but he quickly relaxed into John's arms and closed his eyes. He figured it didn't much matter if he were entirely dominant if it meant that he could be John Egbert's matesprit. Sure, he might get some shit from the other trolls, but he could just beat the everliving fuck out of them.

John ran his hand through Karkat's hair gently, taking extra care not to touch his horns. "I'm sorry if I hurt you before, and I'm really sorry I can't be a kismesis like you want me to be, but I promise to try my best to be your matesprit"

Karkat looked away, his cheeks tinted with pinkish-red. "I don't really think we could be kismeses anymore, anyway," he mumbled. "You've gone and made me have fucking red feelings for you now, fuckass, so I can't really fucking hate you anymore, now can I?"

John grinned ever so slightly. "So you pity me now?" he asked

"Yes!" he spat, scowling. "You're incredibly fucking pitiful, Egbert! You and your soft, pink human flesh." Though his voice was harsh, he didn't actually mean any of what he was saying. He knew he loved/pitied John, and he had for a while; he just couldn't come out and say it. He really hoped John could read between the lines and see the sentiments behind his harsh words.

"Oh yes, I'm so weak and squishy." John agreed with a pleased little giggle "And dumb to boot. You forgot that one."
