Sweet as Sugar

"Mmm..." Melly mused. "What's the strangest thing you've ever seen? Like, the strangest animal?"

"A dragon imp." Mu replied. "They're really weird."

"A dragon imp? I don't think I've seen one of those," admitted Melly. "I've seen a tapir. They eat dreams."

"Well I'm a red panda imp. Dragon imps are similar, but they look funny" Mu smiled

"So they turn into scaly little balls then?" Melly guessed. "...They would look kinda funny then. Anyway, tapirs have really long noses. They sort of look like elephants."

"Basically" Mu smiled. "I think I've seen them before."

"I found the tapir in a jungle. He'd been eating my dreams," Melly explained. "Only I had a bad one before so it made him sick."

"That's kind of neat" Mu smiled

"Well he wasn't mean, just hungry, so I felt kinda bad for getting him sick," Melly answered. "After that we became friends. It's kinda funny."

"So is it like your pet?" mu asked

"The tapir? No, he and I just hung out in the jungle while I was staying there. I should visit him sometime," she mused. "...Why was I in that jungle anyway? I think it was some kind of flower I was after or something..."

"Can't remember?" Mu asked "Well don't think about it and you'll remember on your own later" He grinned

"Yeah, that seems to happen a lot," Melly answered. She checked Steven's heart piece. "Hmm...he should be around here somewhere..."

"Is Steven human?" Mu asked

"Yeah," Melly answered. "He pretty tall, got brown hair and brown eyes. Usually wears a green scarf even when it's 100 degrees out."

"Why would he want to wear a scarf when its 100 degrees out?" Mu questioned. "Is he crazy?"

"It was from his dad. He used to live someplace really cold so he's used to wearing it all the time," Melly explained. "I guess to him not wearing the scarf is like not wearing a shirt in public or something. But I would still think he would take it off when it's really hot. I mean, a lot of people start taking their shirts off when it gets really hot...well, not really an option for me and the girls, but still..."

Mu tilted his head. "Why not? Summer used to do it? She wore something called a sports bra. Do you have one?"

"No. Maybe I should get one," said Melly. "Though I still don't know if that would be a good idea, just walking around with just a bra covering your chest."

"She only did it if it were very hot" Mu stated.

"I know, but...well, it was a family environment, so I guess it didn't really matter," Melly answered. "I don't really have much, but if I walked around just wearing a bra I would get some impolite stares from the boys."

"... Why?" Mu asked, innocent enough

"Because guys are attracted to boobs," Melly stated flatly. "And it gives them naughty thoughts."

"...Naughty?" Mu asked, blinking innocently.

"It's...Well not bad or evil exactly," Melly began. "Mischievous. Silly. The kind of silly that makes you want to pull a cat's tail or something."
