Thunderstorm

Ross shook his head. "Nah, their leader is just a moody asshole. Don't worry about it." He chuckled and led the way. "I guess it is a bit late to be wandering around campus. I'll just show you guys to my dorm. You guys can take the empty room next to mine."

"Fine," Mikaela replied lazily. "Can hardly see a thing outside as it is."

Ross nodded and chuckled. "I can actually see pretty well." He shrugged and continued on, the main dorm building large and slightly better kept then the others. He flashed his student ID at the scanner out front and led them inside and up stairs.

It was an oddly colorful place, with purple walls and green trimming. Various flyers dotted a board nearby. When she got to the stairs she flew up them impatiently. The prince was even more fascinated and impatient, darting ahead and waiting for Ross and Mikaela at the top.

"Hey, you're a werewolf right?" asked Mikaela. "Do the other people here know that?"

Ross nodded. "Of course they know. The school lets all kinds in. The only limits are on any species that are counted as dangerous and unmanageable."

"That's what I figured," Mikaela answered tiredly. "I'd just thought I'd check first, since a lot of places werewolves aren't-"

Her gliding sagged a little too low and she tripped on a step, landing face-first. "Ow dammit..."

Ross chuckled softly. Gently helping Mikaela up and carrying her bridal style. "I'm aware but on this island things are pretty fair. Our king is a demon if that means anything. He's not all hellfire or anything, he's actually a wonderful funny man. The lords under him are even stranger creatures."

"The guy in charge of the tournaments is a ghost knight named Sir Turquine. The guy can be downright evil when he wants to be, but for a demon spirit he's pretty fair," Mikaela replied, feeling embarrassed for having to be carried. The prince floated around them half in concern and half in amusement. Sometimes she wondered if the boy remembered how to walk.

Ross chuckled. "I wonder if he knows King Bogdan or Lord Davage...it would be interesting." He smiled, swiftly kicking down one of the doors, looking around before gently setting Mikaela down on one of the beds. "You guys can crash here for the night. I'll come by to get you two in the morning I guess."

"Sounds good," Mikaela replied, glad to be in bed. The prince was more hyper, flying around in circles around the room.

Ross nodded. "I'll be right next door if you need me." He smiled and headed back to his dorm room.

"Alright," Mikaela called after him, before turning to the prince. "You. Bed. Now."

"No!" the prince answered defiantly. "I'm royalty! I can stay up as long as I want!"

"Says the pipsqueak who's not even half my size," Mikaela replied, smirking. "Come here!"

"Aaah!~" cried the prince, as Mikaela chased him around the room.

Darrius, Ross' roommate, looked over as the were entered the room. Hearing the sounds from the room next to theirs. "What the hell did you bring home and why is it so loud?" The demnoic imp hissed, removing a mace from under his pillow before jamming his head between the pillow and matrice to try to ignore the sounds of the ruckus next door and Ross' laughing as he changed and went to bed.

Mikaela finally managed to catch the prince and had a play wrestling match in mid-air. Finally they both went to bed.

Both of the men in the next room relaxed once it quieted down. Ross passing out almost instantly as he hit the bed. Darrius continuing to grumble as he dozed off.

Despite being tired it took Mikaela a while to drift to sleep. It was nice, being away from Quetzalcoatl and the constant fights. Just her and the prince, exploring and playing. So far she liked this 'school'.

(fast-forward whenever ready)

Ross woke up with a small grumble. Stumbleing out of bed and getting showered and changed before going to the room next door. "Goodmorning guys. Time to wake up!" His mood was horrably cheerful after his bath. Awake and ready for the day.

Both Mikaela and the prince were startled out of sleep, zapping their beds. It took them a moment to remember where they were.

"Morning!" chirped the prince. He was a morning person.

"...Morning to you too," Mikaela greeted. She was not.

Ross shrugged. "Well do you guys want me to show you around the school? I don't really have classes today and if you guys don't mind I have to go to pratice in the afternoon."

"Sure," Mikaela answered, as she got up. "Once we know our way around then it won't be a big deal if you have to leave."

Ross smiled and shrugged. "Good. Then let's get moving already. I don't have all day and you guys may have more fun if we get moving while everyone else is moving. You'll get to see a lot more of the students and maybe a teacher if we look in the right place..."

"Well let's get going then," replied Mikaela somewhat impatiently.

Ross shrugged. Turning on his heel and stepping out of the room and down the hall. Ducking every once and a while as the other guys from the football team got ready. Chucking things back and forth across the hall. "Watch out."

Mikaela ducked when the football whizzed over her head. She shot it out of the air with a burst of water on its return trip.

The prince floated over to the ball in wonder, picking it up and examining it.

Ross chuckled. "Don't tell me you've never heard of football. It's a huge sport in America and it's pretty well known here too."
