Rain Dance

"You did it angel," said Voltaire. He started to nuzzle her hair only to get shocked. "...Ow."

"No I didn't" Kimi mumbled shyly. "We did"

"Well...yeah," Voltaire replied, wrapping his arms around her. "You and me and Fiona. But you won your first tournament battle."

Kimi closed her eyes. "Fighting made me tired." She admitted.

"It usually does," Voltaire replied, resting his head on top of hers. "Most good fights do."

"Hmmm. Are you alright?" Kimi asked "You got hit alot more than I did" She nuzzled his shoulder.

"Nothing I won't survive," Voltaire reassured, though he shivered a little. "You okay?"

"Yeah. A little wet, and tired, but I've already mostly healed up." Kimi smiled. "Now we just have to take care of you"

"It's not that bad," answered Voltaire, yawning. "Nothing a good sleep won't cure."

"You're still going to the doctor." Kimi mumbled sleepily. "But I'll stay with you"

"Fine," Voltaire grumbled, nuzzling her hair only to get shocked again. "...I need to stop doing that."

(fast-forward whenever ready)

Kimi didn't mean to fall asleep, but she did. She woke up in Voltaire's arms, back in their room. She shifted with a small yawn.

Voltaire stirred as well. "Hey Kimi. Sleep well?"

Kimi smiled. "Yeah. You okay? How long was I asleep?"

"Yeah, I'm fine. We had to stay at the medical wing for a little bit, but not long," Voltaire explained. "Mr. Hero's finally feeling better too. He went off to get something to eat."

Kimi's stomach growled at the mention of food and she blushed lightly.

"You hungry too?" asked Voltaire with some amusement. "So am I. Let's go get something to eat."

"O-okay" Kimi mumbled in embarrassment. She sat up and stretched. "Do you know who you're fighting tomorrow?" She asked softly.

"The Wolves," Voltaire answered, also getting up and stretching. "Should be a cinch compared to the last fight. Now we have the type advantage."

"Adair's fighting tomorrow isn't he?" Kimi asked, standing carefully.

"Probably," Voltaire answered. "Feeling okay?"

"Yes." Kimi smiled. "Why?"

"Seemed like you had trouble standing for a minute," said Voltaire. "But you seem to be okay, so I guess it was just me."

"No, I'm fine" Kimi assured him with a smile.

"Alright. Being a Hunter makes you paranoid," Voltaire answered. "Whatever, let's go get something to eat so I can think straight."
