Kimi smiled and stepped forward to hold his hand happily. "Okay"

Voltaire automatically took it and lead the way.

This meal was more peaceful than the previous one. Besides Adair, the only ones there were the Wolves. Belle was more interested in following Adair wherever he went than eating. Caleb was at a table with a plate full of food in front of him, but he ate little of it. The male Wolf did not look well, as he shivered over his meal.

Kimi frowned and kept glancing at him. "He doesn't look so well" She mumbled as they sat at their own table eating. "I hope he's alright"

"Demonic energy overcharge," said Voltaire matter-of-factly as he also glanced over. "If he's going to be that sick, then we might not have to fight them at all."

"Why not?" Kimi asked.

"Well if he's really sick they'll probably have to forfeit," Voltaire explained as he chewed on a chicken wing. "It's stupid trying to fight with only one healthy team member."

After fiddling with it some more Caleb pushed his plate away, lying his head down. Belle went to check on him.

"Is there anything the medical wing can do to help?" Kimi asked.

"He needs rest mostly," said Voltaire. "Though I suspect he'll probably be staying some in the medical wing as well."

Groggily Caleb followed Belle out, looking miserable.

"Anyway, it's a good reason not to draw too much demonic energy into yourself," Voltaire added. "You can make yourself sick."

"You're one to talk," Adair commented as he went back for seconds.

Kimi didn't comment, instead eating some of her fruit. She knew that was what she had healed Voltaire for the first time she had healed him after a tournament.

"...Well, you're already a demon so it probably won't be as bad for you," Voltaire went on, working on some ham. "But yeah, be careful."

"Alright" Kimi murmured with a small smile. "But only if you be careful too" She looked up at him expectantly, though she was still smiling. "Promise?"

"Well...yeah, I'll be careful too," Voltaire reassured, smiling and nodding back. "Both me and Adair plan to stay human, after all."

"Alright." Kimi giggled lightly. "You'd both make lousy demons anyway."

"Meh, I think I'd make a good demon if I wanted to," Voltaire replied lazily as he finished up his food. "But Adair, yeah, he would suck at it."

Kimi nodded. "Can we go for a walk outside later?" She asked after a moment of silence

"Yeah, sure," Voltaire answered. "As long as it's not raining."

Kimi smiled. "Thank you"

"No problem," Voltaire replied. The Hunter stared at his empty plate, wondering if he should get seconds or not.

"How many matches are left in the tournament?" Kimi asked

"After the Wolves we're done," Voltaire explained as he stood up, deciding that he would just take some food with him for later. They would be traveling again soon. "Usually each tournament is four rounds. There's a big one with sixteen but we aren't ranked enough yet to go to that one."

"How long would it take for us to rank up?" Kimi asked

"You get points based on how many matches you clear," explained Voltaire, getting a bag and stuffing it with various foods. "Zero if you get beat the first round, 5 if you make it to the second round, 10 if you make it the third round, and 20 for fourth, and 30 if you win. You need 100 points to qualify. We're a little over halfway there now."

"That's not too bad. So we need to win at least twice more, correct?" Kimi asked

"Yeah, sounds about right," replied Voltaire. "If there's any food you want for the trip, better get it now."

"Just some apples. I'm not keen on meat. I eat it too much as it is." Kimi replied.
