Rain Dance

"Okay. So treat them like I would if I were running from Talmara?" Kimi asked. "Geurllia tactics?"

"...Yeah," Voltaire answered. "Don't take them head-on. Leave that part to me."

"You'll be careful too right?" Kimi asked, looking up at him with wide eyes.

"I'll try," Voltaire answered, though he suspected otherwise. If Kimi was going to be in the next battle, he would be focused on protecting her, not himself.

"Can I get some pants then? To make it easier to move around?" Kimi asked

"Oh yeah! I was going to do that earlier, but I forgot," said Voltaire, hurrying over to his clothes pile. He tried to find something that would fit Kimi decently.

Kimi followed him, a sort of bounce to her step. "Thank you 'Taire." She plopped down next to him.

"Thank me if I actually find something," answered Voltaire, still sifting through the clothes. Their considerable heights differences make things harder.

"Well, I can 'adjust' something" Kimi shrugged. "If that's okay with you. But shirts wouldn't matter. They can be tucked in."

"They're going to become your clothes, so it doesn't matter to me," Voltaire answered as he sorted through the last of the clothes. "But yeah, looks like you'll have to fix it no matter what it is. Just pick out what you like. I'm already wearing my favorite outfit anyway."

Kimi carefully sorted through his clothes. She picked out a pair of pants that didn't look too long and a plain black shirt. "Is this alright?" she asked, showing him.

"Yeah, that's fine," Voltaire answered. "Do you sewing stuff, or do you have it already?"

"I think I have some in my Magis stone" Kimi replied with a smile. "You can go train if you'd like. I'll show you when you get back"

"Alright," Voltaire replied, stretching. "Do you want me to pick up some food for you while I'm out, or are you still good?"

"I'm alright" Kimi smiled. "Don't trouble yourself"

Voltaire felt better after his workout, steaming slightly from the excess sweat evaporating off his skin. It always felt good to burn and beat the crap out of something, even if it was just a dummy or a sack. He strolled back over to the cave.

Kimi was just snapping the last string from the pants with her teeth. She smiled up at Voltaire. "Just finished. Wanna see?"

"Sure," Voltaire replied, coming the rest of the way in.

Kimi shook out the pants and showed him. "See? What do you think?" She grinned at him

Voltaire bent down to inspect. "Yeah, that looks good. That way you won't be tripping over them."

"I took in the waist too. Let me show you" Kimi chirped, standing up. She tugged her dress off and pulled the pants on. They were snug on her narrow hips. She pulled the shirt on as well for good measure. It reached all the way to her knees.

Voltaire couldn't help but laugh at the shirt. "You could make a dress just out of the shirt."

"I could, but I won't" Kimi replied. "It doesn't go past my knees"

"Yeah, you got better dresses then my oversized shirt," Voltaire joked. "Anyway, like the pants. They should work."

Kimi smiled. "Thank you"
