Rain Dance

"Mmhm. just a little stiff." Kimi replied.

"Alright, if you're sure," answered Voltaire, still a little concerned. "Let's go."

The bar was mostly empty. Most of the demons had left since the tournament was over, and they were the only changelings left. Aside from a random salamander lady they had the fire-type part of the bar to themselves.

"Mead, please," called Adair to the dragon-man bartender. "What are you getting Taire?"

"Not sure yet. Not whatever the hell I had last time."

"um... Water, please" Kimi mumbled with her head ducked shyly.

"Huh? What's the point if you don't get any alcohol?" asked Voltaire. "Blue Motorcycle for me."

"What's a motorcycle?" asked Adair.

"I have no idea."

(motorcycles haven't been invented yet in their time period :P)

"Well I don't know what to get, I don't drink" Kimi mumbled

(they're roughly around medieval/middle ages time. Voltaire's stuff is a more advanced, but it doesn't work that great yet lol)

"Oh right," Voltaire answered, knowing how many types of drinks existed. "Tell you what, you can sample mine. It's a citrus drink, kind of like lemonade. You can hardly taste the alcohol in it."

"Isn't that stuff kinda strong to start out on?" asked Adair.

"Better than your mead," Voltaire replied, sticking his tongue out in disgust.

"I like mead!" Adair protested.

"Why? It tastes awful."

Kimi looked up. "Alright. she smiled softly. If you think its okay"

"No problem," Voltaire answered, as their drinks arrived. "Here, go ahead and try it. If you like it I'll get another one for myself. If you don't just wash it down with your water."

"If you feel too tipsy, drink some water," Adair added, taking a gulp of his own drink.

Kimi took a sip of his drink and scrunched her nose. "Its sour" She mumbled.

"Sour?" questioned Voltaire, taking a gulp before making a face himself. "The hell? This doesn't taste right. Wait, it's not even blue!"

Adair looked disgusted himself. "I think we got our drinks mixed up. Here, take your sweet fruity crap."

The Phoenixes swapped drinks. Voltaire eyed the new drink to make sure it was blue. He hated the poor lighting here sometimes.

Kimi sipped at her water to try and wash the taste of the mead down.

"Now you know why I don't like mead," Voltaire stated, drinking some of his Blue Motorcycle. "That's better."

Adair huffed and took a swig of his mead proudly.

"sour." Kimi repeated. "Like a rotten k'lish fruit"

Voltaire laughed. "Here, this should taste better."

kimi took a sip and wrinkled her nose again. "Too sweet"

"Too sweet?" asked Voltaire, seeming puzzled.

Adair laughed. "Taire does not understand this concept. Taire likes sweet stuff, and he gets sugar-high to boot."

"Too sweet" Kimi repeated, sipping her water

"Something between sour and sweet then," Voltaire replied, taking a gulp of his drink. "What kind of flavors do you usually like then?"

"I like apples" Kimi replied simply. "And tart flavors."

"There's grapetart. You might like that," Voltaire advised.

"Okay" Kimi smiled "I can try that"

"One Grapetart!" Voltaire called to the bartender. He took another swig of his drink. "And another Blue Motorcycle!"

"Another one already?" Kimi asked

"Between you and Adair half was already gone," replied Voltaire.

"More like one-fourth of it was," countered Adair, taking a sip of his mead. "You drink more than a fish."

Voltaire shrugged. "Doesn't matter."

"I only took a sip" Kimi stated. "I'm sorry"
