Rain Dance

"Like I said, doesn't matter," Voltaire answered. "There's plenty of drink to go around, and it's all free. That's why we like going here during the tournament."

Their drinks arrived. "Go ahead and try that. Maybe that'll be better."

Kimi took a sip. Her face lit up when she delighted in the flavor. "This is good!" She chirped

"Alright, success!" Voltaire cheered, raising his drink in a toast.

Kimi looked at his cup blankly.

Voltaire blinked before it registered. "Oh, right. We knock glasses together in a toast. I guess it's a human thing."

Kimi lifted her glass to tap it to his before taking another drink.

"Cheers!" said Voltaire, taking another drink.

(should we go on with this, or skip until later?)

(Skip. I'm just gunna assume they get her smashed.)

Kimi smiled at him before offering her glass. "Sip?" she asked

(okay lol)

"Sure," said Voltaire, taking a quick sip. "Not bad."

Voltaire was buzzing on the way back, but he hadn't drunk as much as he usually did. He didn't know if it was because of Kimi or if he just didn't feel like drinking as much tonight. Adair was more drunk then he was, not quite walking straight.

Kimi had only had two drinks (Mostly because Voltaire had ordered her a second before she could protest) but she was more drunk than the both of them. She was a total lightweight. As they were walking back, she had to hold on to Voltaire because she kept stumbling and couldn't walk straight. And she felt so tired, but happy. They had been right. Drinking did make you feel better.

Voltaire stumbled a little to the left as Kimi leaned especially heavily against him.

"Careful Taire, don't wanna fall," Adair teased as he glanced back at them. Then he tripped over a rock and feel flat on his face. Voltaire laughed.

Kimi giggled, a little bit of magenta/purple fire escaping her mouth.

Adair stood back up, straightening with dignity. "I meant to do that," he claimed, some greenish fire spilling out with the words.

"Sure you did," Voltaire replied with a smirk, some bluish flame riding his breath. "Lead the way, Mr. Hero. And try not to trip."

Adair let out a huff of green fire before moving ahead again.

Kimi giggled again. Everything just seemed so amusing to her when she was drunk.

"You having fun?" Voltaire asked her as they walked over to the cave room.

Kimi nodded, still giggling. She leanded against him and nuzzled his shoulder with her head.

Voltaire nuzzled her back. "Thought so."

Ava was in her nest when she saw the three of them stumble in. She sighed and gave a disapproving clucking.

"Hi Ava" Kimi smiled cheerfully. "I had a yummy drink. It tasted like fruit"

"That's nice," Ava replied somewhat distantly. "Yummy drink will make you sick in the morning if you don't drink water though."

"It'll be fiiiine," assured Voltaire. "She drank some water before she left the tavern."

Kimi smiled. "I did. I drank water before my yummy drink too. Now i'm sleepy." She yawned and leaned against Voltaire.

"Me too," replied Voltaire, also leaning against her.

Adair watched them with some amusement. "Why don't you two just get married or something?"

"What's married?" Kimi asked, rubbing her eye sleepily with her free hand.

"Huh? Weren't your king and queen married?" asked Voltaire in confusion.

"They were bonded." Kimi replied. "Which just means that they were life mates"

"Oh," Voltaire answered. "Well, marriage is pretty much the same thing, only there's a fancy ceremony thrown in to make it official and stuff."
