Some Things Just Can't Be Understood

The boys took some ladles and began doing the same.

"You seem better though," Ava remarked.

"Better?" asked Maple. "I wasn't aware that I was sick."

"You and Volty fought a lot more last time," Ava replied. "You were kinda mean all the time. But now you seem a lot calmer. That's good."

Pheobie filled her pot up and replaced the lid. "There." She smiled.

Both Adair and Voltaire soon finished up their own pots, carrying them back into the lounge.

"Oh, you got it?" asked Ava.

"Yeah," both changelings replied.

Pheobie had trouble lifting the now alot heavier pot to take it back out.

Maple came over to help with the weight.

"Oh, thank you" Pheobie smiled

"Welcome. I should make myself somewhat useful after all," replied Maple, helping her carrying the pot over to Ava's back. "You going to be okay with all that extra weight on you?"

"It's fine," Ava chirped back, apparently not bothered at all.

"I hope you all enjoy that" Pheobie chirped

"We will," said Adair, as he and Voltaire climbed onto Ava's back. "We'll see you later."

"Bye" Pheobie chirped

The Phoenixes left the ship and soon flew off.

"Well, glad that's settled then," said Maple.

"What's settled?" Pheobie asked.

"The whole business with fixing Voltaire's colors and all. Thought it might be worse than that," said Maple with a shrug. "You've seen for yourself how impulsive he can be."

"Yeah..." Pheobie replied. She ran her hands through her own hair and changed it black again, she had forgotten it was pink.

"So..." Maple began, pausing. "Do you feel up to traveling, or do you want to rest some more?"

Pheobie nodded. "I can travel some. I'm okay" she smiled at him.

"You sure? Don't want to push you into anything," said Maple. "Either way, I'm going to get a shower first."

"Alright" Pheobie smiled. "I'll make sandwiches then."

"Sounds good," Maple replied, heading for his bathroom.

Pheobie moved back to the kitchen to start cooking.

The shower was just what Maple needed. He felt refreshed as he stepped out of the bathroom. "How are the sandwiches coming, dear?"

"All done" Pheobie chirped.

"Great!" Maple chirped back. "I just need to get my GS and I'll be good." He went into her bedroom to retrieve it.

"Um..." Pheobie followed him. "Do you think... Maybe... Could we cuddle before we go?" She asked with a blush.

"Huh?" Maple asked blankly. "Um, sure, if you want. Can't really do it outside with all the monsters after all."
