Some Things Just Can't Be Understood

Pheobie smiled slightly and went to sit on the edge of the bed.

Leaving the GS where it is, Maple plopped down next to her. He wrapped his arms around her. "Like this?"

Pheobie cuddled into his chest. "Mmhmm" she hummed.

Maple nuzzled her hair. "Everything alright?"

"Yeah. I just like being close to you. It makes me feel better" Pheobie admitted

"Alright," Maple replied, his face still buried in your hair. "You just seemed out of it today. Though I suppose that's understandable considering...everything."

"Considering what?" Pheobie mumbled.

"Getting you...cured," Maple replied. "It took awhile, didn't it?"

Pheobie nodded hesitantly. "I guess..."

Maple enjoyed just sitting there holding Pheobie, his face buried in her hair. But he worried staying quiet might worry her. "So...you enjoying these travels?"

Pheobie nodded slightly. "yeah. I like being with you more though"

"Really? You don't mind this crazy professor?" Maple teased. "Even though he doesn't even understand himself sometimes?"

"I don't mind him at all." Pheobie smiled. "I Actually love him."

Maple wasn't as thrown by that as he expected to be. If anything it relieved him.

"Well, I suspect he loves you too."

"I'm glad." Pheobie smiled. "I would hate to think of what would happen if he didn't"

"He would wander the worlds all alone," Maple replied. "But now he doesn't have to. Isn't that nice?"

"Yeah." Pheobie cuddled a little closer. "do you think... Maybe... we can wait to look for the thingy until tomorrow?"

"Sure," Maple replied. "I don't even really know what we're known for. Some kind of worm thing?"

Pheobie smiled. "Do you think... Maybe... Um...." she blushed and hid her face in his shirt.

"Um what?" asked Maple.

"Do you think we could maybe do that again?" Pheobie asked softly, still blushing.

Maple blushed. "That? Uh well, if you want to..."

"I... Um... Kind of liked it..." Pheobie blushed. "Cause it was with you..."

"Well...Maple loves Pheobie and Pheobie loves Maple, so..." Maple began. "I don't even know why I'm talking in third person. Let's do it, then."

Pheobie giggled slightly. "Don't we have to follow all the steps?" She asked, looking up at him
