Saving Soul

Adair frowned. "That long?"

"Now she is a lady," added Voltaire with a smirk. "Girls take longer to shop."

"Voltaire, Fuck off." Anja stated warningly. "I have to shop for clothes and a few things for myself as well."

"Remember our new pissed-off rule?" warned Adair with a smirk. "You piss her off enough and she might keep your gun."

Voltaire grumbled but said nothing more.

"Alright. Clothes for you two. Some supplies. Ammo. Am I forgetting anything?" Anja asked

"That should be it," replied Adair.

Ava was already outside, waiting for them to get ready.

"Alright. Now I Just need a small pouch to carry money in." Anja stated. She looked to the men. "Got a spare sock or two?"

Voltaire offered one of his, perhaps in some attempt to redeem himself. "Probably smells like hell."

"Just put gold in it and we'll be fine." Anja chuckled.

Voltaire took some of the gold from his bag and put it in. They had enough gold that they didn't need to worry whose bag to take from.

"Okay, I need to get some more storage containers too." Anja reminded herself. She took the sock from Voltaire and put it in her pocket.

"Help yourself," replied Voltaire, pointing over to where various containers were.

"For us to keep the gold in." Anja stated to reiterate.

"There should be some stuff over there that works," Voltaire replied. "You just might have to dig for it."

"..." Anja sighed, covering her face with a hand. "Large containers which we can retrieve the rest of the gold with."

"She means buying more, Taire," Adair pointed out.

"...Oh," Voltaire replied, looking annoyed with himself.

"You weren't the brightest at your guild were you?" Anja asked in an even tone with a raised brow.

Adair expected Voltaire to blow up on her, but the Hunter remained calm.

"No, that would've been Curtis," the blonde answered evenly.

"Hmm. The zombie, right?" Anja asked

'Yeah," Voltaire replied. "He led the guild before he got himself killed."

"Hmmm. How many times did he get your ass out of trouble?" Anja asked

"A lot," Voltaire admitted. "But that applies to almost everybody in the guild."

Anja snickered lightly. "Nevermind. Let's just get going. You obviously don't get it."

"I know an insult when I hear one," Voltaire growled back, heading for Ava outside. "I was just trying not to be an ass about it."

Adair sighed and shook his head, also following.

"Well your ass is a lot nicer than your face." Anja sniped back. She followed Adair, her eyes on his ass as she went. "Though I much prefer Adair's"

Voltaire snorted. "Well you just haven't seen my ass yet." He began to undo his belt.

"Let's go, Taire," Adair growled, pushing Voltaire forward before he could do anything stupid.
