Rain Dance

"Good morning" Kimi agreed with a small smile. "Did you sleep better this time?" She asked

"Yeah," Voltaire replied, feeling a little ashamed of himself. He needed to be strong for Kimi, for everybody, not quivering from some bad dream. He gave her another kiss.

Kimi smiled and gave him a kiss on the tip of his nose in return. "Who are you fighting today?" She asked

"Uh...who are we fighting?" Voltaire mumbled dumbly. "Oh, the Wolves."

The Hunter was just sitting up when Adair and Ava came in.

"We were wondering when you would get up," Adair teased.

"I don't want to hear that from you," Voltaire grumbled back.

"I'll definitely watch with Ava" Kimi smiled slightly. She stood up and offered her hand to Voltaire. "Come on, you need to eat before the match"

"No need to tell me," Voltaire replied a little dryly. He felt hunger chewing at him almost as soon as he woke up. He took her hand.

"We were about to go eat ourselves," Adair replied. "We might as well go together."

"You can ride," offered Ava, crouching down some.

"Why not?" Voltaire replied, as he and Kimi came aboard. Adair soon joined them as well.

Kimi wrapped her arms around Voltaire and snuggled into his chest. "I thought the two of you already ate earlier. I thought that was why you left" She remarked absently.

"It was too crowded. No room for me," said Ava with a little annoyance, as if her large size shouldn't have been a problem.

"And I didn't feel like waiting in line," Adair added. "It shouldn't be so bad now that the main rush is through."

"As long as everything isn't to picked over," Voltaire replied distractedly, his gaze on Kimi as he stroked her hair.

"I don't mind. I'm not very hungry" Kimi murmured. "So that means more for you guys. You'll need your strength for the match"

"Well I would mind," Voltaire grumbled back. "And eat as much as you want. The cafeteria wouldn't be stripped bare. You like different things than I do anyway."

Ava took off and flew over to the food area.

"I know." Kimi smiled. "Don't worry, I can eat later too. But you need to eat before the match I don't"

"Right," Voltaire replied, resting his head on top of hers.

"Don't get too comfy. We're almost there," Adair advised with a slight smirk.

"M'kay" Kimi mumbled softly. "Not too comfortable."

Soon after Kimi said those words Ava landed at the entrance of the cafeteria. It was busy, but not packed.

Kimi snuggled into Vltaire's chest more, half because he was comfortable, and half to hide her face from the other changelings.

Voltaire poked her with some amusement. "It's going to be hard to eat this way. Let's go."

Kimi peaked up at him with a small pout. "Do I have to?" She asked softly. "You're warm"

"And I'm hungry," Voltaire replied, though he was quite comfortable himself. He noticed Mikaela drifting by, watching them with vague amazement and puzzlement. Then she snickered and flaot the other way. "...And this is starting to get awkward."

With a small pout Kimi released Him and slid off Ava's back.

"I know, I know. Terrible isn't it?" Voltaire teased, also sliding off. Adair had already gone to get food, and now Ava was going over to the other side of the food bar.

"Yes." Kimi replied in a muted tone.

Voltaire just chuckled and gave her a quick kiss. "It won't be that bad. Adair and Ava will be with us." He went over to get his food.

Kimi followed close behind. She was only teasing him. She pretended to pout.

Voltaire knew better. He was just playing along. After they got their food they met with Adair and Ava at their table.

Kimi smiled slightly but hid it under a pout once more. She slid gracefully into a seat.
