Some Things Just Can't Be Understood

This time the griffin pup rolled off of Maple and off of the bed. He gave a surprised peep as he fell.

"oh my gosh! Goldie are you okay?!" Pheobie exclaimed

Goldie sat up with a happy yip and galloped over to Pheobie.

"This is a griffin we're talking about," said Maple as he sat up. "He could fall off a small cliff and be just fine."

Pheobie blushed. "Well I didn't know that" She stated, petting Goldie as he came up.

"Well now you do," said Maple, getting up and stretching. "So, food ready?"

"Yeah. Its ready." Pheobie smiled.

"Alright," Maple replied. He turned to Goldie. "Food sound good?"

Goldie chirped happily.

Pheobie smiled. "I made plenty of stew and a cheese platter, just like you asked"

"You can have some crackers," Maple told Goldie. "Anyway, to the feast we go!"

Pheobie giggled. "I made plenty of stew for him too" She stated

"Ah good. I can keep my share then," said Maple as they went over to the kitchen.

Pheobie smiled. "Yep" She eagerly followed him out to the kitchen.

Maple got a bowl for himself and began to get himself some stew.

Pheobie fished out Goldie's bowl and set it on the counter.

Goldie eagerly went over and laid at Pheobie's feet, looking up with sad eyes.

"Wait a minute baby, Skye has to get his food first." Pheobie cooed, petting his head.

Goldie whined.

"Yeah, I'm alpha dog...griffin...thingy...whatever," he replied.

"Mmhm" Pheobie giggled

"Anyway, you wait,' said Maple, sticking his tongue out at Goldie.

Goldie yipped in annoyance, though he stayed down.

"Skye, don't tease the large omnivorous mythical creature that is still in obedience training." Pheobie scolded lightly.

"You have a point," said Maple. Among their diet were sometimes humans.

"I usually do" Pheobie smiled

"Good. Because sometimes I'm dull," Maple replied.

"Are you done?" Pheobie asked

"Getting stew? Yeah," Maple replied, walking away with a full bowl. "Talking? Never."
