Maple put away his glasses before they could get knocked down on the floor.

"Ummmmb," Adrianne protested.

Sighing, Maple took one hand and rubbed the discontent creature behind her ears. Happy now, she relaxed and purred, though she remained on his head. He kept the other arm around Pheobie.
