Anja turned back to her food, as if she had lost all interest in to other girl. "Think Voltaire will spar with me later?"

"I don't see why not," Adair replied, keeping a wary eye on Belle. "You two argue enough."

With a little persuasion Calb managed to get Belle with leave with him. She was still growling. Adair relaxed a little but not much.

"He'd take it hook, line and sinker. That how he gets into so many damn messes," Adair added with a sigh. He suspected any "spar" would turn into a full-out brawl. He wasn't sure whether to be concerned about Anja or Voltaire.

"Hey," Voltaire greeted dully, before passing them by.

Guess he really wore himself out at the gym thought Adair. He needs to stop pushing himself so hard.
