Thunderstorm

"Did you know?" asked Mikaela.

Ross shrugged. "I didn't know what the changes meant but I knew about them before my parents did."

"What did your parents think of you when they found out?" asked Mikaela.

Ross chuckled. "Dad said 'fuck it' and walked off. Mom kind of stared at me for a while and said my dad was joking..."

Mikaela laughed. "Did he ever come back?"

Ross nodded. "Yeah, eventually. Father and mother are both elves of some sort...so it was a suprise for them that they had picked up a were."

"Oh," Mikaela replied. "One of the Wolves had to flee his family once he turned were. Well, his family were famous werewolf hunters, so he didn't have much of a choice."

Ross nodded and frowned. "I've never seen werewolf hunters. I'm glad for that. The island is a good place. People tend to be open minded and calm. Most who arn't are not able to do much about it."

"So this place is Hero and Hunter-proof, is it?" asked Mikaela. That made it an ideal place to stay. The Phoenixes in particular would love it here.

Ross shrugged. "The royal family is not tollerant with terror groups. As long as someone is peaceful and doing what they can then there's not much anyone can do to stop or hurt them."

"This place is run by a royal family?" asked Mikaela. "Are they human?"

Ross chuckled. "Yes, the royal family helpped start up the island. There is the King and his brother, the king's wife and four sons the youngest goes here, the king's brother's wife was assassinated years ago and he has a daughter and a son that goes to the university." He shrugged and smiled "They're demons. My father is friends with the younger brother Davage...."

"What kind of demons are they?" asked Mikaela

Ross shrugged. "I'm not very sure. I know the Lord's two children are half fae though, and the princes are half elemental. A very strange bunch."

"Sure sounds like it," remarked Mikaela. "But I guess for everyone who likes being here, it's a good thing."

Ross nodded. "The king is a good man. He fought in the war and cleared the land of the dark creatures that were trying to kill most of the people. I don't know too much about it though."

"Can't complain about that unless you're evil," Mikaela replied. "...Are we there yet?"

Ross chuckled, turning into a stairway. "We just have to go down and then we're there."

"Alright," Mikaela replied.

Ross nodded and began to take off down the stairs. Bouncing from stair to stair. Knowing better then to rush too much.

Both Mikaela and the Prince floated impatiently behind him, wondering why it was taking so long.

Ross frowned deeply. "I can't float you smartasses. I have to walk like normal people. I'm not falling down the damn stairs."

"Guess you got a point," Mikaela answered boredly. The stairs looked old and unstable. "Take all the time you need."

Ross nodded and continued down carefully. "I'll have to remind them to fix these.."

The Prince wanted to rush ahead, but Mikaela held him by the collar of his shirt. She didn't want him zipping around and causing Ross to fall.
