Some Things Just Can't Be Understood

"Says the blonde eating my cooking." Pheobie stated. "How do you know there isn't something in the stew?" She was obviously just messing with his head. She stood up and patted his head lightly "Something to turn that lovely white-blonde hair blue~" she chuckled, his locks slowly changing blue.

"Pfft, whatever," Voltaire answered, oblivious to his changing hair color. There isn't anything that's going to-"

"Uh, 'Taire..." Adair began, dumbly pointing at him. Ava also gave a surprised peep.

"...What?" the Hunter asked, before looking at a strand of his now-sky-blue hair. "What the hell?"

Maple just laughing uncontrollably, almost spilling his soup.

"What the hell did you put in it?" barked Voltaire angrily at Pheobie. before looking at the others. "And why am I the only one who's hair is blue?"

Pheobie shrugged innocently. "I did fix the bowls you know. Could be anything." She patted his cheek. "Next thing you know, your skin could turn purple." Sure enough, his skin started darkening from where she touched him.

Voltaire let out a cry in alarm as he watched his skin change, nearly stumbling out of his seat. Maple was laughing even harder now.

"...I'm not eating any more of this," Adair said, putting his bowl down and pushing it far away. "As far as I know I'll end up with green hair."

"All you have to do is ask" Pheobie giggled, running her hands through her hair and changing it pink before their eyes. "Its not in the stew, Its me"

Voltaire was not in the mood for asking, now that he knew he had been tricked. "Screw you!" he growled, tossing the bowl of soup at her.

Pheobie was hit in the face and fell back, since she wasn't expecting it and she had slow reflexes. She fell back to the floor, hitting her head hard.

"Pheobie!" Maple called out, rushing over to her. "Are you alright?"

Pheobie groaned, dazed, from the floor. Her forehead was bleeding a little, so was her nose, which probably ment that it was broken (its not). "Did you get the number to that bus?" She mumbled.

"Taire," Adair growled warningly, looking over to Voltaire.

"I didn't know she was going to fall ad hit her head," Voltaire protested, before suddenly looking gloomy. "Though...I guess should have known, considering...she alright?"

"She's bleeding and doesn't seem to know where she is. She's perfectly fine," Maple growled. "What do you think?"

Voltaire looked away in guilt.

"I'll heal," said Ava, blowing some white fire on Pheobie.

Pheobie groaned and tried to sit up. "Maple...?" She mumbled when she was too dizzy to get up and just let the flame wash over her.

Ava finished her healing. "That better? Volty really is sorry."

Pheobie tried to sit up again, but still couldn't. "Maple? I think I need to lie down" She mumbled

"Alright," said Maple, picking her up and carrying her.

"...We'll get going," said Voltaire, standing up and still looking making eye contact.

"...You're going to leave like that?" asked Adair, referring to his blue hair and purple skin.

Voltaire sneered and snorted. "I deserve it."

Pheobie laid her head against Maple's chest. "Mmm" She hummed "Maple you're so strong"

"I don't know about that," Maple answered, putting her in her bed. "You go ahead and rest."

(btw, will the color thing wear off after a while, or does it stay that way until Pheobie changes it again?)

"Hmmmm. Stay with me?" Pheobie asked with a pout.

"I'll be right back. I need to make sure our guests don't burn down the ship, accidentally and otherwise," replied Maple, starting to leave. "Then I can stay as long as you like."

Pheobie smiled. "Thank you" She murmured.

(Voltaire gunna tell Maple what the squirrel does?)

(I don't think he's going to outright tell him. He'll probably hint at it though)

Maple went back outside to the Phoenixes. "She should be okay, but she needs rest. She'll fix you then."

Voltaire snorted. "I dunno, this might be kinda fun."

"You want to stay that way for the rest of your life?" asked Maple.

"Not really."

Goldie finished his stew and started pushing his bowl around.

"Tell you what," offered Voltaire, briefly pausing to watch Goldie rush past him. "I'll go terrorize random animals for a while and then come back later. She needs to rest, right? And she got bit by the squirrel too, so...yeah, I think we should scram for a while."

Adair seemed to be in agreement. Ava just seemed confused.

"Wait, what is that squirrel?" asked Maple. "What does its bite do?"

"It's called a Little Death," said Voltaire as he began to leave. "I'll let you figure it out. And no she will not die."

The trio left, leaving a confused and concerned Maple. He went to go check on Pheobie.

Pheobie was petting her pichu, who had woken back up and wanted to cuddle with her. She seemed flushed... But maybe it was the pink hair.

Maple walked back in. "How are you feeling?"
