Some Things Just Can't Be Understood

(lol it's okay. Just letting you know)

"Do you think you can walk there? Or should I call in a stretcher?" asked Smith.

"I'll walk. Though either way someone may be cleaning up after me" Pheobie mumbled.

"I brought a bucket just in case," said Smith.

"Alright." Pheobie mumbled. She finally appeared at the doorway. Her pajamas were a pair of short shorts and a long tee shirt. She even looked pale. "I don't even know what could be making me sick." She stumbled forward slightly.

"Don't remember eating anything strange?" asked Smith, as he led the way. He carefully walked around Goldie. "Or feeling a little under the weather the night before."

"I wasn't hungry last night. I didn't eat and I felt fine" Pheobie stated "Stay Goldie" she stated firmly.

"Hmm. There was a stomach bug going around for a while. Maybe you caught the last whiff of it," Smith guessed. "I had that. Could hardly keep anything down."

"But I felt Fine" Pheobie protested. She heaved suddenly and clasped a hand over her mouth.

"Here," he said, hurriedly handing her the bucket.

Pheobie took the bucket with a grimace. "I'm okay" she croaked

"Okay. Wasn't sure," said Smith. "Anyway, I felt fine too until I puked all over my paperwork. Professor Emmer was not pleased."

"I hope I'm not sick. I hate being sick." Pheobie mumbled

"Well it looks like you've got something," said Smith. "Here we are."

Pheobie groaned. "I hope not."

They walked into the medical wing and over to one of the doctors.

"Pheobie's not feeling well. Been throwing up a lot," explained Smith.

The doctor, a brunette lady whose name Smith couldn't remember, took Pheobie in.

Pheobie was curled up on her side absolutely miserable. They still didn't know what was wrong with her and she was trying to sleep, hoping that would make it better.

Maple was just arriving at the medical wing. His arm received further examination and treatment while he waited for it all to be done. He had been dozing when he had arrived and wanted to doze some more.

Pheobie shuddered and groaned before leaning over the side of the bed and puking into the bucket.

The brunette lady doctor from before came in. "I believe we have diagnosed your problem."

Pheobie groaned. "I don't care unless it means I stop puking" She mumbled

"I'm afraid you will have to put up with that for a little while longer," said the doctor. "You're pregnant."

Pheobie sat bolt straight up and gawked at the doctor. "wh-what?"

"Easy," advised the doctor. "You shouldn't be pushing yourself for the next several months. Do you know who the father is?"

Pheobie looked horrified. Her mind didn't want to wrap around the fact of her condition.

"Do you want me to come back later?" asked the doctor. "I know this is a big shock for you."
