Some Things Just Can't Be Understood

"Alright," the doctor replied. "I'll be back in a little while to check on you. Just take it easy."

(what would a doctor prescribe for pregnancy?)

Pheobie nodded.

(I don't think they would really prescribe anything, since babies are really sensitive to medicines)

The doctor walked out of the room.

Pheobie sighed and siffled lightly.

"I see, sounds like she's fitting in alright," remarked Maple. "I hope she doesn't have that stomach bug. I got that too, and it was awful."

"Yeah, I still need to check up on her," said Smith. "I didn't realize you were here too."

"Haven't been here that long," said Maple. "That's probably why."

It wasn't long before pheobie drifted off into a restless sleep.

"I would check on her myself if I was allowed to leave the room," Maple grumbled. "It's just my arm. I don't see why I can't at least walk around or something."

"Probably waiting for corruption tests," Smith guessed.

"Probably. But I would still like to walk around and not stare at the ceiling all day."

Pheobie's dreams were strange and filled with baby cries and pacifiers.

(Go ahead and do what you want, She'll be out for a bit)

(I kinda want him to hear the news from Pheobie herself)

"Anyway, go visit Pheobie and see how she's doing," Maple said to Smith, giving him a dismissive wave. "Tell her Maple said hi, and that I'm here but not dying or anything."

"Okay," said Smith, leaving.

(She won't want to tell him at first. i wanted him to have his own little geekout fest there)

Pheobie was still curled up on the bed sleeping.

A little while later Maple saw Smith again. He gave him a queerest look before hurrying past. Maple gave a puzzled frown at the reaction. He didn't get a feeling of dread from it, just...disbelief. It bothered him.

(he didn't actually see Pheobie since she was sleeping, but he heard lol)

(And everyone just assumes? lol)

Pheobie woke feeling relatively better.

(The idea of Maple getting laid is too outrageous to be assumed to be a lie lol. Though he did ask the doctor herself, who would be the most reliable source.)

Maple remained uneasy. The more he stayed there, the more he got the feeling that something was going on. And no one would tell him about it. The mood wasn't somber enough for something really bad at least.

Since she was feeling better, She wanted to go hide in her room. But she didn't know the way

Maple wished someone would tell him what was going on, but everyone seemed to be careful not too get too close to him. He wondered if the corruption tests had turned up something strange.

Pheobie sat up and hugged her knees. She waited for someone to come in or something.

A few minutes later the doctor came back in. "How are you feeling?"

"I want to go back to my room, I'm feeling better now." Pheobie mumbled

"Alright," the doctor replied, nodding. "Do you know the way back?"

"No. I don't know the way back." Pheobie mumbled

"One of the assistants can help you back if you like," said the doctor.

Pheobie nodded. "If it isn't too much trouble"

"Alright. I'll call one of them over," said the doctor, dialing out a message on her phone.

Phoebie nodded softly and continued to sit quietly.

Soon an assistant arrived. "Which room number are you?"
