Have a Heart

Daniel's frown deepened. "Need help?"

"I'm fine" Ellona mumbled unconvincingly.

Daniel came over and picked her up instead, carrying her over to the bed.

Ellona didn't resist him. She let her head rest against his chest instead, her eyes half lidded.

The easy submission bothered Daniel more than anything else. He laid her down in the bed.

"Now stop touching me" Ellona grumbled.

Daniel obeyed her wish only when he had a final check on the wound. There was still no blood, so he knew the wound was really sealed. However this didn't hush all of his concerns.

Ellona grumbled and turned away when he finally let her.

Daniel wanted to go get the doctor, but a metal rustling of the chain reminded him that he couldn't leave her. He was beginning to despise the shackles almost as much as Ellona did.

"Just go back to sleep moron." Ellona grumbled

Her insults somewhat reassured him. If she was gettign her spark back she must be feeling better. He got back into bed, though he was still a bit uneasy.

Ellona pulled the blanket up to her chin and settled down to sleep.

Daniel stayed vigilant for a while, but slumber crept on him eventually.

Ellona wasn't up as early as she normally was.

Daniel woke up at his usual time, glancing over at Ellona.

Ellona was still peacefully asleep.

Upon comfirming that her breathing was normal, Daniel laid back down again. He wasn't going anywhere if she wasn't.

Ellona made a small noise and shifted. "Get away from me you moron" She murmured in her sleep.

Daniel just smirked slightly and shook his head.

Ellona settled softly and gave a small humm.

Daniel closed his eyes and tried to go to sleep again.

Ellona tugged the blanket closer to her.

Annoyed by the lack of cover, Daniel tugged some of it back.

Ellona tugged it back with a growl

Daniel pulled back and then stubbornly laid on it.
