Saving Soul

Anja finished filling her bag and tied it shut. "If we have more empty sacks back at the cave we can always make a second trip. Or do you think we should save some for them?" she asked

"Out of empty sacks," replied Voltaire. "Otherwise I'd take it all."

"Any thing we can get rid of?" Anja asked. "Or we can bum some sacks off sir creepy in exchange for more food."

"You mean Omen?" asked Adair. "We probably could give some to the Ravens for food. They need money like everyone else."

"We can always just tell them about here and let them get it themselves." Anja stated.

"That might work better. It'll keep them from bothering us," Adair replied.

"Yep." Anja agreed. "Taire? Does this make us even? Will you give Adair his armor back?"

"Will you stop destroying my machines?" Voltaire asked.

"If you be nicer to me and stop being a dick." Anja replied.

"Can't guarantee," replied Voltaire flatly. "But I guess I can try. Fine, it's a deal."

"Thank you." Anja stated stiffly. "We should head back. before we get caught."

"Already on it," said Voltaire, walking ahead of them. Adair slung his bag over his shoulder and followed.

Anja lifted her bag and hurried after them. "Wait up"

Adair slowed down to let Anja catch up. Voltaire only slowed slightly.

"Thanks Addy" Anja smiled.

"No problem," Adair answered, before speeding up again.

Anja had little trouble keeping up and soon they were back at their camp. "That was fun." She smirked

"Nothing like a little vigilante justice," Voltaire replied, slinging his sack down. Adair soon did the same. The noise woke Ava up.

"Good trip?" she asked, looking over at the sacks.

"Very good" Anja smirked. "Even found some fancy weapons for Addy."

"Oh?" Ava asked.

"Marble weapons," Adiar explained. "As in, things that won't melt in my hands."

"Oh! Good, good," chirped Ava.

Anja smirked. "Yep. And lots of money for supplies."

Voltaire went over to a corner and moved some rocks aside. "Here's your armor, Mr. Hero. Any more trouble from either of you and I'll just melt it next time."

"...Right," Adair replied, glad to have his armor back but still uneasy about the lingering threat.

"Oh relax. Next time you can just take something of mine, because you know that's where some of this is going." Anja replied

Voltaire snorted. "Alright, if that's how you want it."

"What's that supposed to mean?" Anja asked with a small glare.
