Rain Dance

Kimi grumbled slightly. "I guess I can find something to do while you're healing..."

"Yeah, not much fun sitting around waiting for me to heal, huh?" Voltaire replied, though he would have preferred her to be there. However, he was not about to beg for it.

"I don't like the medical wing." Kimi mumbled stiffly. "Think of it as your punishment for not being careful like you promised."

"That's just what I said," Voltaire replied with a slight smirk, though he wasn't looking forward to it. He gave her another quick kiss. "Fine."

Kimi smiled slightly and hugged him tightly again.

Voltaire rested his head on top of hers, and stayed that way until they got to the medical wing.

"Were a bit worried we'd need crowbars to separate ya," remarked a parrot-man doctor. Voltaire just snorted and followed Adair to the medical room.

"I'm going to stay with Fiery and Volty," said Ava.

Kimi slipped off Ava's back. "That's okay. I'll find something to do and meet you back at the room later alright?" She smiled

"Okay!" Ava chirped, moving on.

(between the two cats which is more likely to spar with her nicely?)

Kimi started off down the hall, towards the training room. She could train some on her own.

(probably Curtis. He knows Adair and Voltaire better too)

Voltaire was more annoyed than pained by his wounds. He was used to getting torn up every now and then. But no, he hadn't been careful. In fact, as Adair pointed out, he had been rather stupid. He could have easily finished Caleb from a distance instead of rushing in and getting struck point-blank with his attacks. And now he would have to wait extra-long in the medical wing because of it. Maybe there was something to be said about being more careful in battle.

Kimi returned to the training room only to find it not as empty as she had hoped. Squaring her shoulders slightly she decided to go in anyway and she picked a solitary target in the corner to work at.

Curtis and Barrett were sparring when they noticed Kimi nearby.

"Huh. Don't usually see that shy thing by herself," Barrett remarked.

"The Phoenixes just had their match a little while ago. The other two are probably still recovering," Curtis guessed. "Perhaps we should go say hello."

"I doubt she'll say anything, but you can try."

Kimi continued to spar with the Dummy. She tried to ignore the other people so she wouldn't get embarrased or shy and just concentrate on her fighting

After thinking about it some, Curtis decided to walk over to Kimi. He was curious about Voltaire's new girlfriend.

Kimi didn't notice Curtis walk up. She was debating on practicing with flaming arms but decided against it since it stung her scars. Since she was still wearing Voltaire's modified clothes the scars on his arms were exposed.

"Training hard?" asked Curtis.

Kimi jumped and whirled around, her eyes wide in surprise. He had obviously startled her.

Curtis held up hands up passively. He considered himself lucky not to have been fried. "I come in peace. How's Voltaire?"

"Um..." Kimi bit her lip and looked to her feet shyly. "healing..." She mumbled.

"I meant in general," Curtis replied. "Doesn't seem as high-strung as he usually is."

Kimi shrugged. "He's in a better mood" she mumbled. "An' Adair says he's nicer since I came along..."

"That's good to hear," replied Curtis. "He's always tried to keep people at a distance since I've known him. That's what most of his rude blathering is about. Sounds like he's finally opening up some."

Kimi smiled slightly. "yeah..." She mumbled. She hugged herself as she thought of Votaire

Curtis chuckled slightly. She was just as lovesick as Voltaire was. "Want to spar?"

Kimi looked up at him in surprise. "R-really?" She asked
