Some Kind of Love, Some Kind of Feeling

"Uhm, well, d'ya like ribs, big guy? I know a place got some awesome baby backs. Sound good ta you?" she asked, blushing a bit herself at how adorable his stuttering was.

Roy gulped. "Th-that sounds wonderf-ful" he stammered

"Awww, Roy, yer just a big teddy bear, ain't ya?" she said, hugging him around the waist. "You should let me buy ya another martini, big fella."

"One's my limit when I'm on job" Roy stated, clearing his throat. His face was still warm from the teddy bear comment.

"Awww, just one more couldn't hurt nothin'! Besides, Fette's got Angel under control. Ya ain't got nothin' ta worry about, big guy. Barkeep!" she said, waving cheerfully at the bartender, "my handsome friend needs another martini! ...And a margarita fer me!"

"I-I- well- okay" Roy gave in easily once she ordered. "One more couldn't hurt."

She slid her barstool over closer to him and got up on it on her knees so that she'd be a little closer to his eye level. "'Course it couldn't, silly! 'Sides, yer out at a fancy club, sittin' with a pretty girl who thinks yer pretty darn good-lookin' yerself... no one'd blame ya fer havin' a drink er two, yanno?" she said, smiling cutely and fluttering her eyelashes at him.

Roy could feel his face heating up again. "Uhm, er, I-I" He swallowed hard, leaning away slightly, positive she could feel the heat from his face.

She giggled and continued to flirt with him mercilessly until he'd finished his second martini, then leaned over against his chest and looked up at him. "Gonna have one more drink with me, big guy? Yer not gonna leave me up here drinkin' by myself, are ya?"

"I-I really shouldn't" Roy mumbled. "I mean, I have to drive"

"Don't worry, hun! I'll see that you an' Angel get home safe, with all your worldly puhsessions intact. So, one more drink?"

"M-maybe just one more..."

Roy was stuck leaning against the bar (which was creaking in protest) because he couldn't sit. Not that he didn't like standing. Standing just didn't seem to like him at the moment. But he was much to heavy for the barstools, he'd shatter one as soon as his ass touched it. "N-no more" He slurred to Shazam. "Imma drunk"

She giggled and nearly fell off her stool, drunk as well. "Yes, shugahpie, ya are. So am I. That makes it a party."

"Woo" Roy stated without any enthusiasm. "Party. Right"

"Awww, don' be that way, shugah!" she said, standing shakily on her stool so she could lean over and give him a kiss on the cheek. "Ya can't tell me ya ain't had a good time."

"Ah fun." Roy smiled stupidly. "I don't think I've had any real fun since I was Angel's age."

"I'll just hafta change that, won't I?" she asked, smiling devilishly. "Fette's my DD tonight, so how about I send him an' Angel home, an' me an' you go burn tha midnight oil, bug guy? There's lotsa fun ta be had in this city when yer drunk and bored."

"Nah, nah. Boss'll be waiting for me and the boy" Roy stated, running a hand over his face. "Promised I'd take him home. MAybe next time"

"Now, Roy, honeychild, ya know Fette's tha only one uv tha four uv us who's fittin' ta drive. An' I'm sure Angel won't rat ya out if you go out an' have a good time tonight," she said, cuddling up against his side and wrapping her arms around his large forearm.

"I have driver's assistance in my car" Roy stated proudly. "Practically drives itself" He gave a small hiccup.

"Awww, but Royyy~" she whined, giving him a disappointed little pout. "Tha night's still young, an' I wanted ta spend summore time with you."

"I can't. Have ta work in the morning" Roy smiled. "But I can rain check fer t'morrow"

"Hm.... Well, I guess that'll have ta do. Want me ta get Fette and Angel offa the dancefloor?"

"I don't think I could make it over there" Roy stated as was of saying go ahead

Shazam pulled her phone out of her cleavage and sent Lafayette a text message telling him to get his ass back over to the bar. Before too long he appeared, fighting through the crowd, with Angel in tow. Shaz promptly inserted her cell phone back into her bra.
